Amberwood Village Golf and Country Club
Played On 06/22/2014A Hidden Treasure
We were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed our first outing here. The greens, as well as the bunkers, were in excellent condition & the trees offered much-needed shade on a very warm day. A very pretty course close to where we live & which we will definitely return to, now that we know about your brunch & 9 + dine events.

We teed off at 2:46, right on time. The marshall was especially friendly & helpful, even congratulating me for my raking of a bunker(!) The pace was good, despite two of us following a 4-some, but I think the marshall had a hand in speeding them up on the second nine (thankyou). The sun was in & out, the mosquitos kept themselves a good distance away, & the blue skies with puffy white & dark clouds made for beautiful reflections on the water features that decorated the course. We were also impressed with the upkeep of the bunkers & the good sand to hit out of. If we did hit into the trees, it was easy to find our ball. We were a bit disappointed, however, to see only two people occupying the lovely 19th hole building. It did not look very inviting, as no chairs were out upstairs where we would have liked to sit overlooking the course. The only other negative was that there were car tracks across some of the greens, making the balls trajectory a bit bumpy. However, at $17 each, we weren't going to complain.

Being beside the mighty St Lawrence adds to the ambiance of this course. We thoroughly enjoyed our day, which was weather perfect.
