Public golf is the core of the game and this place got everything right! It was the friendliest staff I have ever experienced at a public facility. They were so eager to provide a one of a kind round. They even built a set of left handed rental clubs out of their demo clubs for my wife after renting out their other two sets of left handed clubs. The course was in good shapes greens rolled true and quick. The layout was fantastic and fun with strategy being the most critical part of playing well.

Balckhawk isn't a championship test, but it is a nice place to play a round of golf. It doesn't feel overwhelmingly long or tight, but the greens were in great shape and the course was very well maintained. Most of the par fours were mid irons in, playing from the back tees, and the fives were reachable if you have a longer game. I didn't find myself in any sand at Blackhawk but there is a little around the greens that could be challenging if you found yourself in them.

Over all I really can;'t say anything bad about the golf course. For the price you can't find many better places to play. Give Blackhawk a chance.
