There was absolutely no ranger on the course to control the pace of play. There were groups out there hitting balls in every direction crossing from one fairway to the next fairway and no one out there to supervise. Took almost 5 1/2 hours to finish the round of golf. If you have that kind of time to spare The course is nice but youve got to pack a lot of patience along with your lunch and supper.

Great layout and challenging. Plenty of water to make it very interesting. Plenty of water and ice on the course, unfortunately the course is lacking in grooming and golf carts. Thank goodness I got a good price to play the course or I would have been extremely upset.

One of the worst course conditions ever I've played. What a rip off for the money. The majority of the greens were eaten away The threesome in front of me, a single, would not let me play through and they were teaching one of their players how to play golf. HMMMMMM :-( Really on a Sunday morning!!!!

Course was okay. Not very lady friendly. Fairways were in okay condition. Greens had been aerated recently and were horrible.

Very surprised at what a nice course this was. I've played other college courses and nothing so far compares to The Walker Course. Very well maintained course. Challenging greens in very good condition.

The staff member that was on duty in the pro shop was less than helpful which is a shame. The course was not overly busy when I arrived due to the heat; however, the staff member made me wait until my scheduled tee time and then didn't tell me when the person I was playing with arrived, so I was delayed when I got to the tee box because others had piled in, in front of me. Come on guys - female golfers deserve the same respect as our male counterparts. Be respectful.

Course and the facilities were mostly in a state of disrepair which was surprising knowing what I know about Shriners. It was very disorganized and staff were not very helpful. The pace of play was.......... anybody's guess and the pairings were uhhhhhh who know's.

A very nice course with quite a few challenges and surprises. The greens were super tricky and difficult to read, and very fast. All Par 3 holes posed a challenge. The finishing hole was quite a treat and accurate ball placement is essential.

Course was relatively empty when I arrived with NO tee times booked; however, I had to wait 50 minutes for my booked tee time. I was paired with a scratch golfer who was, ahhhhh not the friendliest of people, and another guy that was only playing 9 holes. The female Golf Pro Karen was less than pleasant and definitely NOT willing to let anyone tee off early even though the course was wide open. My first and my last time I'll play this course.

Be prepared to walk for 8 out of 18 holes. The members are not too friendly and they definitely are not female golfer friendly. I was a single player and they was a foursome in front of me with members and they refused to let me play through.

Great course to play with many challenging holes. Beautiful views and many blind approaches.

This course was AWFUL. Truly an embarrasment for Lakewood Ranch. It might be a good course one day, but right now it's awful and should NOT be open for play. The grass was drier that hay for horses and there were many areas without grass. The greens reminded me of "Shaggy" from Scooby Doo. The only reason I can figure the course is open is because the developers need money. Short of that, the course needs to be closed and allow it to mature and to allow the grass to grow, that is IF they ever water it.

A great little course that has a lot of challenging holes. The grounds crew has done a fantastic job with course over the past year and it is in awesome playing condition. The greens are lightning fast and the pin placements are very challenging.

The staff could not be more friendly and helpful as well as welcoming to all. The Pro Shop Staff go out of their way to welcome all. Wendy who is in the Snack Bar is absolutely "the best". She is incredibly friendly and will get your food ready in momemnts notice and lets you phone in while out out to course to have your order ready at the turn so so don't have to wait.

Course was in terrible condition. Very misleading descriptin of the course when it's describled as a Pete Dye design. It is indeed, but it needs to state the course is in a state of total disrepair. The course courld be beautiful it money was put into it.

An awesome course. I hadn't played there in a while and managed to play all three 9's and loved them all. Marsh and Creek are a bit more challenging that the Oaks, but all are wonderful and each offer their challenges.

Great course and challenging for any level of player. Course was packed and pace of play was slow, but the course made up for the slow pace.

Course was in poor condition and was very swampy with extremely poor drainage. Pro Shop Staff was not friendly and the course staff was riding around in blue jeans. There are not restrooms on the course. The greens were dead and difficult to roll your ball. Very disappointing course.

Very slow pace of play that is not monitored by the Ranger or the Pro Shop. Course was in OK shape, but nothing special and not well maintained.

A fantastic course. Challenging and well maintained. The staff were super friendly. The wildlife was an added bonus. Will definitely play this course again.

Great value for the money. A well maintained course provided by the City of Bradenton, FL. Traditional old style Florida course. Will play again.
