Cedar Rock Country Club

Play Cedar Rick 4-6 times a year. Player Friday April, 29. Course will be in tip top condition mid June if warm weather permits. Greens we're in super condition and fast. For a crowded Friday, place of play was great. I was a single and paired with 3 other online golfers. We had a great round and new friendships. Staff is always great at CR. Will be playing Monday in a seniors tournament with 100+ members. Looking forward to a great round. Cedar Rock is a great course.

First time player, 1 hours travel time. Very interesting course. As our courses are in western
N C alot of hills and valleys. Fairways are very wide and generous. The front has lush Fairways. The back seems as they are grass covered and at this moment we are in a dry period. The superintendent is making every effort to maintain fairways with water. The greens are in excellent condition. They putt true and roll to speed. You need to ride ahead and look at your landing areas. Some layups are a must. A great course , I'll definitely be back.

Father's Day, of course a little wait. Teed off at 4:30. Play Larkin 6-7 times a year. Course is always in excellent condition. Would recommend it to anyone. Western NC course so it has alot of elevation changes. Off I-40 or I-77. Staff is always top notch. Love this course.

Good condition, 17 holes open. Fairways and grass brown form winter, ball sits up nicely. Greens in great condition. With abnormally warm winter temperatures any course wil be crowded and weekend also. Met a friendly threesome and joined up. Play this course 3-4 times a month. Staff always friendly and cart guys are to your vehicle to load you up. Understand that the closed 10th hole is to reopen early summer. A great course to play.

First time playing this course. Holiday weekend so naturally somewhat crowded, but we moved at a fair pace. Early spring, grass is still sparse in fairway. Should be end of April, really green. Greens are excellent, lots of slope and roll of greens, but putt true. Really looking forward to a return trip soon. Fantastic layout. Now have a sence for couse layout. Some hidden shots, need to ride out fairway and look at your target area. Take time to walk to green and look at a target for pitch shots. Wish there was Red, White and Blue flags for green depth. All Black and White flags. Still a pleasant day of play.

First time played. Very nice course for winter.Looking to play it this spring. Fairways are a bit tight, but forgiving if your not a heavy slicer. Need to get a yardage book and pay attention. My partner and I tee up on the 1st. hole , we didn't look at the book, you are hitting into a valley. We start out and there is a pond, luckily we both were short.
Don't hit driver much, three woods and hybrids.
Slow day behind a walking woman and her riding husband. Still enjoyable and I will be back.
The staff are top notch guys. Thanks

Linville Falls Golf Club
Played On 4/11/2013A Great N.C. Mountain Course.
April 11, 2013 ; Linville Falls Preserve and G.C. is the old
( Blue Ridge G.C. ) they have made many upgrades. The ruff off the fairways have been cleaned and many wooded areas that were prone to lost golfballs have been removed. Traps are in great shape.
The only complaint that our group had was that the greens had just been aerified and their was no notifacation. About 35 minutes from I-40 or 45 minutes from the Boone and Blowing Rock area. A great way to enjoy a N.C. mountain course.
