Great layout.
Staff was super friendly and hospitable.
Course in very good shape.
Gets a lot of sun and hard to keep green.
Great par 3s, lots of sand, little water which is good.
Only lost 1 ball, so I’m happy.

Played On 08/16/2018Needs attention to detail and staff training
This course has so much going for it.....amazing views, very nice fairways, and a very challenging layout.
That’s what got my rating to an overall “3”.
I knew that the course was just aerated which I saw routine, but there’s so much more that needs fixing. Greens were lgood added with sand that’s there wasn’t much green To be seen.
1. The starter seemed to be bothered because I took him away from his phone to get the 2 bags of balls I purchased in the shop. He got me the balls and went right back to his phone.
2. We had a tee time around 1pm, saw the beverage cart once on the 2nd hole. SHe informed us that we needed to get beverages at that time as she’d be done for the day at 3pm. It was 95 degrees humid and the sign on the course read, “ABSOLUTELY NO outside beverages permitted on the course”. If that’s the case, why was the cart service stopping at 3pm.?
3. Tee boxes we’re in very poor shape.
4. Course workers should be trained to slow their equipment, stop cutting, and to yield to players. Nope. In fact the supervisor riding around in a cart, stopped and had a loud conversation and a distraction to our game.
5. At the driving range, there was a sign that’s read....”.No Five-somes permitted.......DONT EVEN ASK”.......just not “guest Friendly”
I’ve been in the hospitality industry for 30 years and hire, recruit, and train.
I really liked the course, but got to play it On the wrong day.
Service team and culture needs to step up it’s game.

Played On 08/16/2017Great course. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were in excellent shape.
A great value.
Afternoons in August mean humidity and thunderstorms.
Lots of water out on the course. Make sure you have a towel with you as my hands were drenched with sweat.
Restaurant a bit dirty and could use a deep cleaning.
Overall fun day with my family
We regret you were less than satisfied with your day at Old South. No employee should be on a cellphone while serving customers and unfortunately that set the tone for your day. We do provide drinking water on every 3 holes and the clubhouse is accessible after #5 and #9 for additional beverage purchases. You are able to have those beverages in a cooler with ice provided by Old South. Heavy rains the afternoon before you played set back the maintenance crew trying to get the course ready for play and we apologize for the interruption it caused in your game.
