Settler's Hill Golf Course
Played On 05/16/2018Not the best time i’ve had
Me and my two friends played on the course today... as on the day before I was checking the availability to see if I could walk in and play 18 as there was very little people there or even cars in the parking lot alone. Asked if there was any openings and got denied. So today me and my friends walk in to play 18 and got accepted in this time, i mean im just saying the friendliness of the staff the past couple of days has been really poor and I golf at this course to at least a few times a year. But the pace of play today was entirely too slow, as we hit the four hour mark on hole 13. The greens don’t really seem like they been taken care of as of late as the ball bounces more than it rolls, and the fairways were still soaked and marshy from the rain days before, the tee boxes have so many divots where it’s almost impossible now to tee off without having your ball or feet in some weird position or area. Feel like they really let the place go, and wasn’t exactly a fair value for our money for sure.
Pheasant Run Resort
Played On 05/02/2018Challenging course, but rude staff and expected more in the course conditions
Per usually I feel like staff concerns are the biggest thing for me, as I’m a 22 year old millennial golfing, as if it’s somehow rare to see. Staff friendliness was not at the top of their priority list as I was disrespected by the guy to send us off. That “we’ll have problems if I see anything funny out of you nad your friend.” Like as if we were going to trash the place (and no I don’t like to cause problems with anyone and play a fair respectable game and take care of divots I’d make). Other than the staff being rude the course was fun to play at as it gives a challenge in that the fairways has a lot of trees and gets really skinny. And the course conditions weren’t the greatest, but expected more out of a resort type course.
Bliss Creek Golf Course
Played On 04/26/2018First course of the year
I played at Bliss as my first course of the year back in April. I loved that it was actually a pretty good deal that I got from GolfNow to play there to. But got there and there was no guy to check me in or anything, had to go looking for someone outside and in the bar which was a pain, but the course conditions were pretty good for April, but the pace of play sucked as there was no one to monitor how slow groups played. Otherwise didn’t have too many issues outside of the staff and pace of play.
