This course is always a little proud with their fee structure. Trying ti keep up with Eagle Creek, but course conditions are no where close!

Biggest issue is the greens. Look good, but painfully slow! This really can kill a round when there’s little break or touch. Just bang it at the hole.

There are also fairway issues, especially on the back. No grass in the fairways on 11-13. All in all the course is ok, but not worth even $40

This course is what it is - a short muni. But, the layout is nice and there are lots of good minis around worth playing. WP pines, fairways, Ventura…all great even though short. This course could be every bit of that…but…

The greens are beyond terrible! Dirt you ask? No. Punched! No. They just don’t now them. They are green and lush, but I’ve seen fairways with more roll. I don’t get it, now them so they are quick and this course has potential.

Sad considering how much has been invested in the course to see it run so poorly. Tee sheet is a money grab, 8 mins is not enough time. 11 am tee time and hog off finally at 11:45. No starter to sort things out, no ranger. Free for all on 1.

Ironically, the greedy tee sheet could be more than made up with a bev cart. They said they had one, but she wasn’t on the course from 11-3! Saw her on 17. What a wasted opportunity. Course could have happy golfers and make 10x as much spreading tee times but actually having a bev cart. And get a freaking starter!!

I’ve been playing this course for 20 years, and wow how the mighty have fallen. From a premiere course in Orlando, with some holes that could be at Bay Hill to a really run down and poorly maintained course. Best part of the place was the staff, who were still first class. Let’s review tee to green:

- Tee boxes beat up and no where near the card distances. Whites by the reds, hard to find decent places to stand.
- Fairways- Not bad
- Greens - Where 1/3 of the shots are, just terrible. So slow, clearly not mowed. And whoever did mow them last shouldn’t be allowed to. Big square areas in the cut. Lastly, numerous with big areas under repair.
- Value - $85 for a noon tee time for this? Shame on you

It’ll be a long time before we return here.

Courses are required to give a course alert when booking for aerated greens or temp green, Rio should have alerted the back nine tee boxes were all up to the reds of closer. Played like a par 68 course on the back. Feel ripped off.

Played this course for years, and quite a bit the last few months. Was really surprised with how great it was that first time I’d played after a gap. New ownership really had it moving in the right direction, but boy it’s headed the wrong way now. Green length and pace very different by green, really hard to adjust hole to hole. Huge weeds in fringe areas that make chipping it up impossible. Standing water in a lot of bunkers. Numerous fairways where you’re on dirt. Really? When it’s a bad break to be in the fairway you know you’re at the wrong course. And all of that for $50? Sorry guys, it’ll be a while before I’m back.

Play here weekly, and today was one of my worst experiences ever. Had a 8:12 tee time, and course wedged a couple member groups in and pushed us back. Then thx member group showed up with 13 people. Ended up teeing off 40 mins after the time I signed up for. Wouldn’t send off the back because they were working on it, but first tee times began to roll around. I get prioritizing members, but the public like me that play it consistently keep their dues down, down &@%# on us. Will be a long time before k get back out here or recommend to my friends. Only able to get in 9 due to the cluster.

Ok, so I was critical of this course on an outing in Feb. just didn’t think it was to Disney standards….so we tried it again. Big change! This course has always had one of the best layouts anywhere, but conditions were great. Tee to green was in super condition, staff was fantastic. We had a great round for my birthday and would highly recommend.

5 hours to play? No way. Ridiculous pace if play and not a ranger in sight. Second time playing here, and last time tee times were running 45 mins late. This time tee times on time, but took us every bit of 5 hours to play. Ruining what could be a really good experience.

Being a local who has played this course many times, wow…this was disappointing. I hope they read these and take note. I give the place a full pass on cart paths only and lack of ability to mow some areas. It’s Florida, it’s been very wet, I get it. But that’s no excuse for:

- Let’s start with the golf carts. What happened here? Steering was shot in every cart we tried. Unreal. No maintenance program here? Worst carts I’ve ever been in, and I’ve played some dive courses. This is not a dive course, and they should take better pride than that.

- Tee boxes- Someone wrote a review they were good. They must have played another course. Tee boxes were dirt. Except for 12 that was a fluffy, muddy mess. No idea what’s going on here, but terrible. Fairways and green in good shape, especially considering the rain, but the tee boxes were a goat farm.

- Pave of play - they need to iodate their pace of play. First, 4:30 as a start is too long (posted pace of play). Second, and again some grace for cart oaths only, they gotta keep it moving. From the start they are telling us it’s backed up on the back because of group x. Then fix it!!

I hope they get this place back to where it should be. Layout is challenging, lunch included is great, but we won’t be back for a while to give time to fix it.

This course is not maintained to Disney standards and should have come with a huge disclaimer. Greens were ridiculously slow. Putting on 70’s shag carpet. You needed to put a 2 putt only rule in effect. And whoever mows then should be fired. Not mowed to the edges, big rectangular cut marks at the edges. Fairways cut with big grooves / tracks in them. Rough was ok, tee boxes average. They said they had a recent issue is why they had to have it that way, but Disney should close it until ready when that bad.

This course had great potential - super layout, location, and elevations in a place known for flat courses. Unfortunately the course has been severely let go. Fairways were basically void of grass, and the rough looked like construction sites (dirt, clumps). Greens were sanded and aerated, which happens, but it wasn't noted when booking on Golfnow!! You have to declare that stuff so people know what they are getting into.

To top it off, the greens keeping crew clearly sleeps in. We tee'd off at 7:20 am, when it's daylight at 6:30 and other courses have tee times at 6:30. By the third hole we ran into the crew rolling the greens and blowing them. We did this, waiting 5 mins a hole for 2 holes and then just skipped ahead. We played in following the guy placing flags and moving holes...waiting on him a couple holes to place a hole. Net net at 9:45 the 18th hole finally had flag in it! Seriously?
I wouldnt recommend this course, it's been ruined.

Course is fine, but for the money they are a little proud considering the conditions. Greens were in good shape, but gateways were pastures. You didn’t have to go further than #2 to see the need for a new greens keeper. If you’re going to charge like shingle creek and eagle creek then keep the course in shape like them! Staff was friendly, greens were good, pace of play was good. Gateways and tee boxes not so much.
