Just an awesome course. Great mix of interesting holes: a fun drivable par 4 7th with a thoughtfully bunkered green, uphill and downhill and short and long par 3s, a couple of really challenging par 4s (#3 and #17 in particular), some gettable holes that require a really good short iron/wedge in (#2, #10, and #12), two reachable par 5s (#5 and #9) and two that require 3 good shots (#15 and #18). No throwaway holes on the entire course. The course is in really good shape for the mid-summer heat and all the play every course seems to be getting this summer (greens do have a lot of ballmarks but the fairways and rough are well kept, the tee boxes are in great shape, and the greens are still above average). And the practice facilities are fantastic. Definitely one of the best courses in the DC area!

Nice course in really good condition. Greens had a lot of ball marks, but that’s probably the result of a ton of play. I liked the layout. A lot of interesting holes and variety. The biggest issue was the pace of play. We teed off at 4 pm on a Sunday afternoon. We were a threesome and played through a few groups (although doing so didn’t really make sense). We waited on every shot all day long. Multiple holes had several groups waiting to hit their tee shots. The wait to tee off on 18 was 20 minutes. We finished in the dark around 8:40 but only because multiple groups just gave up towards the end and choose not to finish. Had it been a bit earlier in the day and if we didn’t play through, it would have been well over 5 hours. I know everyone is itching to get out of the house and all courses are really busy these days, but we never saw a ranger trying to push things along. A greens fee of $100 at 4pm and a 5+ hour pace/waiting on every shot hurt the experience on what is otherwise a really nice course. Practice facility/driving range was great—big chipping area, grass range.

This course is in horrible shape. No notice on GolfNow that the greens were just aerated. Even aside from the aeration, the greens are in really rough shape. Gouges, burned spots, old holes cut that haven’t been filled in. The bunkers are full of water or otherwise gouged out by water flow and rock hard in other places. Most of the “rough” is just dried out dirt. Fairways are dried out/barren and full of divots. No way this should be anywhere near $75.
