Great Track. Great Price.

The course was well maintained. The pine trees leave a beautiful pine straw covering near the Tee Box that reminds you of Augusta National. The fairways and Tee boxes were well maintained and the greens were pristine.

Playing from the Pro Tees (Black) is a challenge. Making for long Par 3's and tough Par 5's. There are ponds, grassy mounds, well placed bunkers and hidden winding streams that make choosing the right club difficult. Dog leg distances were perfect. Too much club and you lose your ball to a hazard. Too little and you're not making the turn.

When we arrived our cart was waiting for us and ready to go. With rain in the area we had towels on the cart for our clubs and our cart seat. This attention to detail alone will bring me back and recommend to others.

Pricier, but this course has great features...

The pricing for the course isn't competitive for other courses in the area. I use Golf Now to get the best discount to play. It used to be a private course that went Public a year or two ago.

The new owners have put a lot of time and effort into making the course better than what is was before. Fairways are clean and well kept. Two levels of rough along the fairway edges. The greens are pristine. Bunkers are being rebuilt as of now so I can't critique, but are generally deep and soft.

The Front 9 is just as demanding as the Back 9. The back being nestled into wooded area and reducing windy conditions. The Front playing long par 5's and Hole 5 and 7 green that is tricky to par.

Green are always maintained

I've played this course 9 times in 2 years. The front 9 isn't as challenging as the back 9, but the greens are consistently maintained and hold a regular to fast speed no matter what the weather conditions are.

This area (Ottawa) seems to attract more standing water than courses that are 10-15 miles away and this was true for the day we played. Conditions were cart path only, front 9 only and range was closed. It was just too wet for a good round. The front 9 is in an open area with little tree coverage and is very windy which makes it difficult play at times.

Staff was courteous and the pro shop receptive to our questions and concerns.
