Pristine fairways, the Superintendent deserves recognition!

First time playing at the Villages, I enjoyed my time from beginning to end.

• First time playing
• Pro Shop attendant applied the perfect amount of grease and pepper while paying for round, he told me to stay below the hole and that statement reared its head for 2 holes on the front.
• Range in a great shape, only thing to note is you cannot hit any club that carries 220 due to limited amount of space, putting green has roughly 8-10 pins
• I brought my stimp this round with me and ended up running the greens before the round to see what putter I should use, the number came back at a true 9.8 which was softer than I anticipated.
• There was a club pro there with a circle of patrons around him as he was demonstrating the importance of turning the hips, they were all showing signs of active listening very engaged
• I had a chicken caesar salad to go, I ended adding prawns cause I was feeling spicy, it turned out to be a good choice, I would rate the salad a 8.2/10. The croutons were a "little" soft but that was because I didn't start eating until hole 4.
• Hole 1, you keep keep the driver in the bag and not bring bunker in play, unless you have a high sweeping fade, that should will work on that hole.
• Hole 2: I ended up with a birdie here, if you play the right side of the fairway your third shot will be
blind to the cup but you'll have the straightest and shortest line. Par is a bad score here.
• Shot a 44 out 43 in, 87 total.
• I think the course is very getable and in fantastic shape!!

I won't bore you all with more details, but I enjoyed my time and will be back., I also play $50 venmo rounds if anyone wants to meet at a course and go heads up.

Feels like The British Open.....Great Layout and Experience!

I play 2-3x per week at Cinnabar Hills, this was a great changeup and delightful experience.

i approach the first tee and it feels like I am at Carnoustie or Chambers Bay. The entire airways is all bermuda with the extremely firm greens all bentrgrass. Greens have literally no divots of spike marks in them, very firm running at 9/5-10 (yes I brought my stimpmeter).

I left the driver in the bag and played my 3-wood and 17 degree hybrid off all the tee's. If you have a stinger in your bag and love hitting low bleeders, each tee box presents great opportunities to play those shots.

Side Note: Ben at the bar is a boss, really enjoyed his presence and hop-knowledge. They have fresh-baked cookies inside the pro-shop when you pay your green fee's, who can be mad at that?

Nice Course, Can't Be Mad

Narrow 9-hole, gorgeous setting. The staff inside needs to upgrade to a Macbook, system processor seems slow.

You can use a driver on hole 2 and 4 which is nice from a normal short course. You can also use your hybrid or 3/4 wood on holes 6 and 9, although the fairways are very narrow.

Golf = Grass, Summitpointe = Dirt

As an avid golfer and someone who plays 2 times per week, this is by far the worst course I've played on 2 years. If you enjoy tee'ing off into a field of corn, this is the course for you!

Spectacular views of dead grass and un-clumped dirt. This course really allows you to play your bump and run game and impersonate your best Ben Hogan, great for the golfer who tops and blades all his approach shots.

This course is equivalent to how a much a frat boy is dehydrated on a Saturday morning. If you like golf at all, don't come here.
