Heritage Harbour Golf Club
Played On 01/29/2019Not Again
If you enjoy playing a course that is in bad condition and love to walk 40 yards to and from each green, this is your course. Personally, I'll go elsewhere.
Manatee County Golf Course
Played On 02/15/2018ranger needed
Pace of play was terrible. A ranger is needed to go around and get people moving. We played behind a foursome with two women who duffed virtually every shot. When we passed them, the guys got all huffy. They obviously have never heard of golf courtesy.
Lakewood National Golf Club - Commander Course

Greens are hard as concrete. The biggest problem is that the "invisible fence" which prohibits carts from approaching the greens are located, at minimum, 40 yards from the greens. So, you'll be walking at least 80 yards to and from the green. Many greens were quite a bit farther; 100 to 120 yards. If your approach shot is behind or to the side of the green (not the cart path side) you'll have to take 3-4 clubs (putter included) to the ball because you don't know what type of lie you have. Terrible lay-out, however, if you like walking, you'll get plenty on this course.
Sanctuary at River Strand Golf and Country Club
Played On 09/14/2017had an enjoyable round at River Strand. Only problem was one of the cart/bag boys who threw a fit because I took the cart into the parking lot. Real smart mouth.
The Palms Golf Club At Forest Lakes
Played On 03/07/2017Save your money or play another course. The fairways at The Palms at Forest Lake are like concrete, the T boxes are beat up, many of the ball washes are broken, and the greens are mediocre. It took 2 of us 5 hours to play this executive course. Course was overbooked and jammed. The only redeeming value was that the employees were very pleasant.
You’re kidding right? The course is great and the reason they have the sensor on the carts are for idiots like you that expect to be able to pull onto the fringe and roll onto the green !!!
