This is hands-down the best part 3 course in the Ottawa area largely because of the extensive use of water hazards sand traps and other features.

Despite the lack of rain this summer, the course was in spectacular condition. The hilly terrain makes for truly stunning Vistas and very interesting course layout including some very exciting elevation changes and elevated greens. In addition, if you're brave enough to walk the course you get a superb workout, combining a rigorous hike with truly superb golf experience. This is among my top three favourite courses in the Ottawa area.

As a first-time player at this course, I was greatly impressed with the condition of the course and the imagination that went into the layout. With the different elevations and water hazards, it clearly was it Cut Above the average par 3 course which generally is quite mundane in its features.

This is just to add my voice to the chorus of Praises for this wonderful Gem of a course that provides one and a half to two hours of respite from the covid-19 Siege. Everything from the tees to the traps to the fairways to the greens are kept in Tip-Top shape five star condition just like you find at a full length course like Kanata Lakes or Equinelle.

I booked the course for two people and then half an hour later a third-person wanted to join our twosome but I was not able to change the reservation online. I then called the 1-800 number and they confirmed that the booking could not be changed. This is a very poor customer service feature. In addition, the fine print for the online bookings indicates that rain checks are only available if the course is closed on a specific day. Since course is rarely closed even when it is raining., this basically allows the online provider to abused its customers by denying rain checks to customers when they should be entitled to them. I have voice my concerns to the golf course management and they are reviewing their service agreement with GolfNow

This is a more interesting layout than competitors such as Champlain Kingsway, Pineview, Riverbend. It has suffered from water shortage over several years resulting in fairways that are a little thin in places and tees that are sometimes bare and hard. However, these are not major issues and the greens are spectacular. The course would benefit from longer grass on the fairways and restoring the par 3 13th to the par 4 that it was originally designed to be.
