Brooksville Country Club
Played On 03/13/2024Never gets old😁
Everyone NEEDS to play this course. Love taking first timers to this course. The WOW effect is GREAT.
I've found that you need more club than the distance would dictate, as many holes may start downhill, but end uphill to the greens.
Schalamar Creek Golf Club
Played On 01/07/2024Only during DRY conditions
To start with. The course probably should have been closed for the Day because of WET Conditions. It had rained (hard) for 1.5 hours prior to our 10:38 tee time. The course had "Cart Path Only" signage everywhere. Standing water on MOST fairways. Hit the ball, watch for the splash, go retrieve ball from standing water or plugged lie. Lots of laughs after a swing and a mug shower. We endured, and finished our 18 hole round.
The course was not nearly as narrow as we had expected. The layout was fairly good. Play was slow (some because of conditions, but some because of locals ignoring course edict ie 6 some).
We decided to try the course again, but only after a couple of weeks of NO rain :>)
Scotland Yards Golf Club
Played On 01/15/2023Better every time I play!
Payed 3 times this year. Fair, Good, and Better! The staff and management are putting a lot of time and money into the course. Can't wait to see what they improve on next. Keep doing what you are doing 👍
Willow Wood Golf Club
Played On 07/13/2023Truly is a Hidden Gem
Almost to nice to let others in on this "Hidden Gem". This for me is a "Risk/Reward" course. Don't be afraid to lay up or bomb away (your choice). Sand traps could use some work (2.5 to 3 inches of rain the night before), so some were ponds. Always enjoy.
South Course at Big Cypress Golf & Country Club
Played On 12/07/2022Good Value
First rough a bit rugged, some areas needed a remow, but considering all the rain they had recently gotten, conditions were Good. Fun course, but pick the correct club to stay out of trouble.

Played On 11/30/2022Getting a new one Face lift.
Impressive amount of tender loving work being done. Greens are good and play true. Many fairways and approaches are newly reseeded. Play it now so you'll appreciate all the good work being done. Hope upgrades keep coming.

Played On 07/25/2022Always fun
The course was GREAT, I was bad :>)
Always a good time with friends.
Price is a bit more than I would normally pay, but GolfPass benefits keep my rates manageable so I can occasionally play this GEM!
South Course at Big Cypress Golf & Country Club
Played On 03/29/2022Score card was not as good as expected
Everything was excellent, with exception of the score card. No hole layout provided.. As first timers we had to stop at every hole yardage pole to determine if the hole had a dogleg or not, had water across the fairway, or what ever. It was great course and a wonderful day, but score was hurt by lost in balls. Sill looking forward to my next outing on this special course.
Heritage Isles Golf and Country Club
Played On 01/16/2022Staff not friendly, kind of ruined my day
If you could go and not deal with staff, it would be fine. I was charged $19+ change for a non-golfer (ball spotter) to ride along. For medical reasons I have a problem following the ball. I have paid from $0 to $10 for this accommodation. This course requires $18 (for insurance). When they charged me 7% sales tax on that fee, I questioned it. Counter staff = 0
On to the 1st hole.. The starter questioned me about the extra rider,. I presented my receipt along with acknowledging that this was the most expensive rider I'd ever had. He ask why I had a rider. I told him. He suggested I learn to hit the ball straigher (no humor intended on his part). Starter = 0
With no further contact with staff, the rest of the round was fine. Golf really should fun!
Brooksville Country Club
Played On 12/14/2021Tale of two courses.
As my review title implies, the two 9s have different tales to tell. The front 9 was average and could use some TLC (Cart paths rough, some greens could use some work,...). On to the back... Worth the full price of admission! Dramatic change! 4 holes play through the "Old Stone Quarry" deep canyons, big elevation changes, and just visually spectacular. Just fun to experience.
The Medalist Golf Club
Played On 08/12/2021Course in GREAT shape!
Even with a power outage (big storm night before 4.5-5 inches of rain), drainage was excellent. As you would expect the greens quickend as play progressed. I play the seniors tees (74 years young), still a challenge to clear some waste areas. Extra balls required for my gave ;) . I believe if you play this course, you'll be back.
Thank you for your comments. We are glad you enjoyed the facility even with all of the issues caused by the storms. Please come back and see us again on a more "normal" day. And stay young!
Timber Ridge Golf Course
Played On 08/03/2020Just a beautiful course.
First course this year which wouldn't accommodate our request for 1 cart per player (we're mid 70s and being cautious about covid-19). That said, the course was perfect, the greens challenging, pace of play wonderful. Somehow even the the weather was spectacular.
The East at Forest Akers Golf Course
Played On 07/31/2020Following tournament, made pace of play slow
Other than the pace of play, everything was up to par or better. Staff were very friendly and accommodating (gave us range balls while waiting for late tee time). Always enjoy playing this course. Take advantage of the excellent practice facilities. Go early, chip, drive, and putt, makes the round more enjoyable.
ChampionsGate Country Club
Played On 02/11/2020Not what I expected
Apparently there are several ChampionsGate courses.
Remington Golf Club
Played On 01/17/2020Much better than 2 years ago
New carts, much better course conditions, sandtraps need some sand (way to much bounce) unpredictable.
Brookshire Inn & Golf Club
Played On 08/13/2018Nice Course, Bad Traps
Over all the course is well maintained. A couple tee were weedy, but playable. The most important thing about this course is the HORRIFIC condition of the traps. Many looked like washed out Mud filled pits. I damaged a club hitting from one with a hidden 1.5 inch rock . I hit into 3 traps: 1st Hard packed (compressed sand), 2nt was the ROCK attack, 3rd I inspected closely and found lots of stones (1/4 to 3/8 inches), I took an unplayable lie drop. Sad because the rest of the course is okay.
