Course was overbooked and it was a chaotic scene with help from staff, they could care less how ridiculously slow and backed up the course was. Waited on every single hole, the majority of the people on the course had absolutely no clue about golf etiquette or even any common sense! These people should not be allowed on the course without guidance from staff members! Course conditions were awful aswell, horrible tee boxes and greens had divot marks everywhere. Waste of my money and time, never playing here again.

I have only played this course two times. First time I played was a little over a month ago and I had a great time and thought I had found a hidden gem. I played today and the course was in really bad shape, I have no idea what they did to go from a course in great shape to awful in 5 weeks. The fairways were awful wet and soggy which of course led to a lot of frustrating pitch and chip shots, club would slide right under the ball. Tee boxes were in bad shape, greens were filled with divot marks. A lot of holes are way to close together I almost got hit twice. Also no signs to let you know where the next hole was.. I will definitely not be venturing out to this course again.

Really beautiful course in Mundeline, felt like I was up north Wisconsin. Pace of play was great, fairways and greens excellent. Loved the layout and also this course has elevated tees on every whole which I love. Will be back again for sure.

I use to play Deerfield a lot as its the closest course to my house and I use to be able to find good deals. The course itself is not to bad and is kept in pretty good shape, it is a pretty bland course though with boring scenery and dull par 3's. My issue is the general lack of course management which is horrible and the number of golfers that have no knowledge of golf etiquette and ruin the rounds for everyone else. Foursomes on the greens taking every putt like its the pga championship, has become the norm. A round of golf should take 4 hours max and this needs to be enforced, average round at deerfied is 5 hours. Lat round i played there a single woman was playing 3 balls for practice and was the cause of a huge backup and she was oblivious as too what she was doing, get it together and move people along. I will most likely be looking for a new regular course too play!!

pretty good round at sportsmans in Northbrook today. Course layout is great and a good challange. fairways were in great condition and greens were rolling faat. Only problem was pace of play, my tee time was at 7am so I thought I would beat the busy rush but course was jam packed. Round was 4 and a half hours. To long for me, last few holes i just wanted to get over with as fast as possible. still a great course and a fun round overall.

Deerfield golf club is pretty average. I've played here many times and its a pretty long and bland course next to a major highway and a busy road. Played on Friday and i understand why it was cart path only the course was soggy in places and muddy. I just think this course uses the cart path only rule, which really sucks and ruins the round and pace of play way too much! There have been times last season when there was no reason for a cart path only rule, they need to stop doing it so much or at least utilize the 90 degree rule which they never do! The course on Friday was bad, fairways and greens were in bad shape. Money down the drain.

Someone told me this course was pretty good so I thought I'd try it out since I live 5 miles from the course. Big mistake, should of payed a little more money and played at sportsmans in Northbrook. The staff here is friendly and willing to make an effort but they really don't run a good operation and i never saw an employee the entire round. Got the hot deal and teed off around noon, no starter people going off at the wrong times etc. Very unorganized. It was also cart path only which I was shocked as is was not nearly wet enough to warrent this. If anything maybe a 90 degree rule would have been ok but the sun was out and had been for the past 2 days. The rough was full of sticks and other debris and was hard with tighht lies. Course is congrsted and almost got hit by a ball twice. Back nine was very slow, the carts gps broke twice during my round and took forever for somebody to help. Cart also stalled numerous times to tell me to get back on path which I was clearly on. This course is very disappointing. I will not return thats for sure.

I purchased the hot deal for 40 bucks w Cart. Course layout is great, and in great condition for this time of year. Some greens were better than others. Sportsmans is usually out of my price range, so I only play it once or twice during peak season. Glad I went out, good pace of play, fairways and bunkers were great!

I really like this course, its got a country club atmosphere without the rude arrogance. Course layout is great and its relaxing as there is no hoses or loud noises surrounding the courss. Faiway was in excellent condition, good t- boxes and greens were good as well. Pace of play was perfect, great enjoyable round. Only advise is when booking on line you cant get a tee time if your a single, its a shame for me cause i often play as single and would love to be able to play here more often.

I have played this course about 5 times and on every round but one the pace of play is ridiculously slow. No course ranger to try and speed it up and it seems as though they are never organized or communicate as to why the back nine is always backed up with 2-3 groups waiting everytime. The staff is usually pretty friendly but need to do their job to stop the slow play. Tee boxes were very soft and the fairways were average at best. Too many holes have tight tree lined fairways where it is very hard to find your ball which adds to slow play. Will not be returning to this course.

This course always charges ridicolusly high prices, and its an average muni course. I gave it a try because the prices are so high i thought it must be a great course. Big mistake, much better courses to play and for alot less money as well. Last time I will play here.

This course is neat where i live thats the only reason I play here once in a while. The course was in horrible condition with tree branches in the fairway along with landscapers on what seemed to be every hole I played. The tee boxes are uneven and the greens were absolutley horrible, as were the sand traps. This course and the price they charge for the condition its kept is not worth it and i will not be returning again. Sunset Valley is so much better but thats closed for the season.
