Mersey Valley Golf & Country Club
Played On 05/06/2018Poor at best.
On the hottest day of the year so far, I booked this for myself and a friend as a 'Hot Deal'.
The courses overall condition tee to green was poor at best, grass cuttings all over the fairways along with tyre tracks and boggy areas. I have played multiple other courses over the last week around Merseyside and none were as wet as Mersey Valley.
The worst part of the round was the greens, probably the worst greens I have played on in a long time. Bobbly and uneven, with pitch marks dug in - something I would expect of a municipal course. It looks like the green keepers have given up looking after the greens as in areas there is rolled mud next to where the flag has been cut.
Tee boxes were uneven and heavily used without being repaired.
The only positive aspect of the course was the bunkers..
I would avoid this course and play at other courses in the local area. Will 100% not be playing this course again.
