University of South Florida Golf Course - The Claw
Played On 12/07/2013Longest game of my life!
My skill level is extremely limited in strategy play which is necessary for survival on this course. Hole 8's hole placement was impossible to snuggle, ball rolled more than 12 feet away from the cup with every putt. I lost two balls to "the claw", may they find themselves in the belly of the biggest alligator sunbathing next to the tee box on the back nine. Course was in super shape with a beautiful lay out. Greens slow due to recent fertilizer dusting, call before you book your tee time. Overall, hardest game of my life but I can't wait to get back!
Jacaranda West Country Club
Played On 10/06/2013This course ensures a well rounded day.
Having never played this course, the morning began flawlessly. The staff was most helpful. Driving range sufficient. Tee boxes angled off line promoting a challenge. Fairways wide and open but becoming overrun with weeds. Greens readable but fast causing quite an adjustment in my putting swing. Their hot tee time is around 0730, but worth the early morning.
Championship at Seven Springs Country Club
Played On 09/14/2013This course requires skill and strategy.
Not only did I have to focus on how to play but I had to focus on HOW TO PLAY!! Almost every fairway is designed to outlast you. Even the par 3's are challenging yet being a lady new to the game the fairways are wide which balances it for me. If it weren't for distance I'd play here every week.
Apollo Beach Golf & Sea Club
Played On 08/31/2013This course has charisma.
Being that my golfing partner cut his teeth on this course back in the late 70's and now nearing retirement, here we are again. There is much needed work and I am hopeful there are plans in progress since this course has so much character.
Rosedale Golf & Country Club
Played On 08/30/2013This course is nestled in a community but you'd never know it.
Coming through the front gate and being greeted by the guard with such a friendly attitude, it was going to be a great golf day. The greens were weed free, bunkers nice and sandy. Having the attendant clean my clubs afterwards and spend a moment letting us talk about our golf good and bad moments was such a nice touch.
Pebble Creek Golf Club
Played On 08/24/2013This course is fun for all
Great layout. Water and trees are not an issue. Ended with the same ball I started with. Unfortunate in that this course does not drain at all. Don't recommend it during our rainy season.
North at Daytona Beach Golf & Country Club
Played On 08/17/2013This is a well maintained public course.
The fairways and greens were green and weed free. Maintanence staff visible with their efforts evident. Course ranger rounded several times to ensure play was moving accordingly.
South at Daytona Beach Golf & Country Club
Played On 08/14/2013This is a public course we play every year.
Being a public course does not diminish the care this course receives. Fairways and greens are in great shape. Some tee platforms uneven but easy to work around. Bunkers are in need of sand. Pro shop staff super friendly.
Heritage Harbour Golf Club
Played On 08/10/2013This course is green from beginning to end.
The staff was helpful. The fairways were green and well trimmed. The bunkers were challenging and the greens were difficult to read. But being that my golf partner is a scratch golfer and I'm still learning this course worked for both of our levels.
The Highlands Golf Course
Played On 08/03/2013This course was exceptional.
The course is in excellent condition, meaning the greens, the fairways and yes, the bunkers. Cart GPS like no other course showing distances to everything in front of you. I look forward to another 18 holes at the Highlands Course.
Summerfield Crossings Golf Club
Played On 07/13/2013Great value but greens need attention.
I appreciate the cart GPS. Tee boxes are under construction. Greens are in need of attention as well. Excellent value for 18 holes using Golfnow's hot deals, rain or shine.
Riverside Golf Course
Played On 06/01/2013This course is perfect to overcome fear of hazards
Sand and water is abundant off the tee boxes, before the greens, to the left and to the right. What I thought was going to be something of an executive course turned out to be quite the strategic challenge in regards to ball placement. 2 to 3 fairways could use some TLC but it is evident the course is receiving significant attention due lush tee boxes and greens. Can't wait to go back.
Heritage Harbor
Played On 05/27/2013This course is non-discriminating
Our party consisted of high to low handicappers and at the end of the day, each player shared their challenges with the course layout and none were the same. Very enjoyable day.
Sherman Hills Golf Club
Played On 05/25/2013Great course for ladies
First time I finished with the ball I started with. Great confidence builder. Excellent to see exactly in my game where technique is poor. Fairways were punched but the greens were intact.
Plantation Palms Golf Club
Played On 05/04/2013This course is lady friendly.
This course credited me for halfway decent shots. Delightful afternoon.
Imperial Lakes Golf & Country Club
Played On 03/31/2013This course is in very bad shape.
Dave in the pro shop is very nice. But the course is in very bad shape. Weeds abundant. Sand hasn't been freshened in many years. Tee boxes extremely primitive. Driving range? I need to stop. We won't be back.
Primitive golf
All I have to say is see where Ladies tee of on the 18th hole. I'll say no more!
