I love / hate this course. Every hole has it's challenges. The greens are hard as rocks and rarely flat. It can really get in your head if you start missing shots. Don't worry I'll be back for more punishment soon enough.

Hadn't played here in probably 20 years. Had a great time. The greens were faster than they looked and rolled true. Fairways were in good shape but the rough had a lot of bare patches. All the staff raved about the new owners. Less than an hour from Portland. It may well have the best 19th hole in the PDX area.

Talk about a love/hate relationship! i really love this course, every hole is interesting and a challenge. The 122 slope is misleading, I'm a poor golfer, +20, but I can usually break 100, not here. The greens are hard as rocks with more slope to them than it looks. Several par 4s are 400+ yards and there's plenty of water on the back 9. I'm just thrilled I played 18 there yesterday and, probably for the first time, didn't lose a ball. My buddy lost 3 which is more the norm. Many think it has the best 19th hole in town.

Nothing about this course blew my socks off. I didn't find any of the holes especially memorable. BUT, if I lived in the area I would play it all the time. It's a good course and a good value. I thought the greens rolled true and the course conditions were very good.

Always enjoy playing Rose City. It's not a bad walk and has plenty of challenges. The greens were lightly sanded, which seemed odd in August but could be related to the, formerly, unusually hot weather.

Rose City is one of my favorite munis here in Portland. The layout is very interesting with a little of everything.

Played here a few weeks ago in a downpour. This time it was only steady rain. That explains the "fair" under course conditions. I really like this course. Has a number of very interesting and challenging holes and none are boring. It's walkable but not an easy walk. Note: if you want a power cart you must reserve it in advance.

I gave the course conditions a "poor" but that wasn't the course's fault. Normally it's in very good shape but today when it wasn't raining it was pouring. I mean we were soaked to the skiin. Heck, we were soaked to the skin after 3 holes. All my gear is spread out in the garage drying out. Given that we didn't get any plugged balls, we actually got some run in the fairways. There were puddles on most of the greens but the rest of the course was merely soggy. For about 20 minutes the rain let up and you could see the course does drain very well.

I really like this course. It has its share of challenges, there's a baranca that runs through about half the holes. The course was in great shape and pace of play was fine. We played it in 4 hours on the nose.

Another Portland classic golf course. It played very firm and fast. More than one approach shot ran through the green but I can't spin the ball.

We were a twosome behind a foursome, behind another foursome. Probably our longest round of the year but we were in no hurry so it wasn't a problem. Gave us plenty of time to search for our lost balls. :0)

Set high above the Columbia River, in the Columbia River Gorge this course has vistas every where you look. The course is very up and down and the generous greens are heavily sculpted. They roll fast and true and no putt is a gimme. Per the scorecard it has a slope of 112 but that is ridiculous. There's a fair amount of sand both fairway and around the greens. Water on only 3 holes but there's plenty of trouble to be found is you wander too far from the fairway.

First time at FH and it doesn't make a good first impression. Out in the boondocks, parking is across the street. Can't go in the pro shop, the range seems like an afterthought. BUT they clearly put their money into the course. Cart paths are all gravel but the fairways and greens were the best I've played on this year. Every hole is unique and challenging. The greens were fast and true, unlike the munis I play in Portland. I'll be back!

Always enjoy playing this course. Got matched up with another twosome who were great to play with. A good time was had by all.

On a gorgeous Oregon day played rose city golf course. Didn’t play as well as I wanted to but it was all my fault not the courses.

Couldn't pass up one last round at this good old course. Got wet on the first hole or two but it settled into a nice cool fall day. I'd say that every hole has it's own unique challenge. They all make you think and many don't require or even allow a driver.

Great to play Rose City again. Course was in great shape but the greens had been recently sanded and plugged so they were slow and the ball hopped around a lot. Another week or two and it'll be fine.

This was my 9th or 10th round at the Resort this year. Really like the courses and a good deal is always available. On this day we did have about 1.5 hour delay in the middle of the round due to rain and lightning. The rain cleared the air, which had been "unhealthy" and slowed the greens down some. Still, the greens here roll very true and the whole course is in great shape. No doubt due to the fact it had been closed earlier in the week because of the fires and smoke.
