For the price I usually find on golfnow it's always worth it

Very straight forward course. Only four very narrow streams (usually are dry) that you have to worry about on shots. Fairways aren't narrow and you really have to slice a drive for it be OB (although it still very much happens to the best of us amateurs). Pretty flat course with the exception of some minor elevation on a hole or two. Not a lot of sand traps but they're well maintained. Add all those things together and this is an excellent place for beginners to intermediate players to give a shot.

Tee boxes, fairways, and greens are all usually in pretty good shape for the varying skill levels this place gets. Rough quality is always a hit or miss depending where your shot winds up but I noticed the rough was a little higher to time out so that was nice.

Pace of play should be a little faster when it's busy considering most people take carts and it really isn't a crazy hard course. There is no starter or ranger so if you're looking for a quick round the place always has the chance to get backed up the later you go. A starter would be nice so there can be organization and some lag time between groups. Still finished my round in about 4 hours but shouldn't be taking that long on this course. I guess golf etiquette would help so I don't want to solely blame any golf course on round times.

All in all a good course especially for the price. I'll continue to be back at my home course! Don't forget the water jugs next time though.

An 18 hole muni for its price and condition? Sign me up

Was looking for a cheap round on Thursday night and stumbled upon Knoll Hills East. Booked a tee time for Friday 12:12 and finished at about 3:00. For a municipal course, I'd say the condition of the course was better than what I was expecting. Very tight course though (especially the front 9) but take some club speed off and you'll be alright. 9th hole elevation to green is a doozy. Enjoy!

Oh and it was the first day the driving range was open... really really nice in a pretty secluded area though. I would suggest having golf carts in the parking lot so people can drive them over (since you can't drive on the road) and also a water jug. The sun was right on us on a 90+ degree day and there is no where to hide. Great addition otherwise though!

Mechanical tees so you don't have to worry about bringing your own and hoping if they'll stick into the matt or not.

A great deal for a round of golf

A beautiful and well maintained course in a nice quiet area. Booked a tee time at 5pm with two others and we all paid under $40 with a cart. With trees scattered just off both sides of the fairways and bunkers surronding almost every green this course really does a good job at rewarding players who keep their shots on the fairways (which are in great condition as is the rough if you do shanky panky a ball). If you aren't use to fast greens be prepared for some time getting use to them. Tough to stick shots compared to courses I'm use to. Deadly fast. Not much in terms of breaks on the green but because of the speed I was still challenged. Big ups to the caretakers. Greens were spotless.

Breezed through the front 9 with my threesome but did end up getting backed up starting on the back 9 which was a bummer. Group in front of us also never rang the bell (I think on 15) so we kinda just waited there. Also there were no water jugs at the last two possible stations but it was 7pm and after by then. first time there though so no harm no foul as the weather was really cooling off by the back 9.

Shot a 113. Also got a card where if I play 5 games I get one free. That was nice. Will be back.
