Headwaters Golf Club
Played On 09/23/2016Excellent Course, for ALL types of Players !
Course provided a fun afternoon of golf. Tee to green, Headwaters GC had everything covered.... Nice tee boxes, plush fairways, nice cart paths, good 'directionals', and greens were in fair shape after a recent dose of Fall treatment (aeration?sp). Would like to play again when greens soften up and back to normal roll.
Awesome scenery and many holes were postcard material. Blue Tees would provide a true test to the lower handicapper, as an increase of 20-30 yds on some of the Par 3's alone would make 'Par' a good score. #6 took us by 'Awe', as you don't see 2/3 of the hole from Tee box. 400+ Par 4 with winding fairway and drop of elevation to a
rather smaller green of MANY undulations. Nowhere on the green provides for a
safe spot to put the cup. If you haven't played Headwaters, you gotta had it to the
Bucket List !

See my 1st posting first.... 2nd time around was a charm after knowing the course.
1 sidenote, the clubhouse was open, but nobody was there ?!
So, I opted to take a pull cart and it was all good.
Course was in good shape for Fall golf and cups had been moved.

Over exceeded my expectations from the 'get go'. 1st time playing and will be back
numerous times ! Very NICE G.C. Kudos to the Course Groundskeeper and his staff.
Very friendly employee (lady) in the Pro Shop! I was on the 1st Tee within minutes
of leaving the Shop. Cart was awesome, and the trails were marked (on the path
itself, great idea) extremely well. 90 degree rule with cart followed. Fairways well groomed with good lies all around. If you haven't played this course, YOU NEED TO!
White tees provided enough challenge for me... Blues were mild, with not much extra yardage on each hole. Driving range also available, which I used after my 18 !

Very nice little course. Short in yardage, but very challenging. Don't let the Par 4's fool you... Greens are small and makes for your short irons to be ON.
Has a bunch of 'cool' holes. Be careful for hidden water hazards. Lady in Pro Shop
very friendly and provided help on course layout... where NOT to go on certain holes.
Played solo and took 1 hr to make the trek. 1 Par 5 (Hole 9) and is legit!
Tight fairway to hit, and sharp dogleg. Tall trees at dogleg prevents golfer from cutting off yardage. Only lost 1 golf ball, on a blind Par 4 with water before green.
I WILL go back to this G.C.
