Troon knows golf and this is one of the flagship venues for a reason

No excuse for 25 min delay right of the bat. Terrible management if you do not know when sun rises

Course aand round ruined by the dumbest pin locations I have seen. Multiple greens had pins within 3-4 paces from spots you’d just run of greens. 3 players 9 hc 3 hc and 5 hc 3-5 pitted multiple times. Speed of play effected by idiotic pin okacyon already hard greens and pretty challenging track. Would not come back

Everything was excel but for the fourball leading the pack for the day. A lead of group should be able to play in less 4;30 hours.

Great course. Great practice facility. Challenging for sure with lots of water and hazards. Great layout where you’d benefit from playing it more than once. Only negative was staff felt a bit overwhelmed and the starter needs a course in customer service and hospitality

Everyone kept telling us international was the better of the two. I disagree. The layout and scenery was way better at the National. Better maintained as well

All services. Excellent staff. Couture played long. Wet. Needs some sprucing up

wow played it from the blacks, hard, long and not a lot of forgiveness. excellent puttable greens. Great facilities and everything else was top notch

This course is very high on the WOW factor. Target golf for sure, fast great greens. All facilities excellent Pro shop and elite service.

Quirky layout with very meandering greens which they charged full price to play even though they had not healed from aeration
The range is well enclosed by a newt at about 210 yards and pretty beaten up. Good putting and chipping area
It’s highway robbery to charge 250 for this course

So first the good: Donald Ross design with superb greens. Well maintained
The bad: we where told they didn’t have a range
The ugly and unacceptable: they do have a range but it’s the 11th fairway!!!!!! They also let a single (assuming member) walking (with his non playing wife) out at 8:20 on a busy Friday Nice 5 hour stroll!!! No ranger. Didn’t answer club house phone.

Absolutely not acceptable for the $75 dollars a round. RI has waaaay to many excellent courses for this nonsense

Fox hopyard used to be one of my favorite courses in CT. But they must have fallen on very hard times. Tee boxes need a makeover. Greens are well destroyed. Half the fairways look like someone has been off road big on them.

This is another CT course that will fail due to the hostile economic conditions of CT

1. Booked my tee time through Golfnow got a call a day or so before where they informed me that they “had” to move my tee time due to high demand (found out I got bumped for members)
2. No range
3. Ranger came out on the one hole my group of 20+ hackers (who the course paired me with) had fallen behind 1/2 a hole. We picked up speed and waited 15 minutes to tee of on the next hole

The cool thing is that all 18 holes are replicas of Irish golf holes like Waterville etc but for Pete’s sake NJ or not be more customer focused.
