Great golf course but SSSLLLOOOWWW play!

This is an excellent golf course, with a very challenging lay out and the fairways and greens are in great shape. Off the fairway, not so much. If you choose to play durrng the week in the morning, do not get behind the senior groups that tee off 8:30 - 9:40am. If you do, you are looking at 5+ hour round. Club house staff are SUPER friendly as are most of starters. There are no rangers to manage pace of play.

Palmer Course

i was a little disappointed with some of the grass conditions around the greens.
the back 9 definitely needs more courses knowledge than the front nine.
the golf carts were very frustrating g in there speed- SLOW - and restrictions. i hane played many Palmer courses and would not say this layout is consistent with those. good course, front different than back.

A must play course in Rio

Rumors that his course was not being maintained after the Olympics were completely inaccurate. Course was in excellent condition. Greens were perfect, rolled great and were quick. There is no rough on the course, other than the tall /wild grass areas. With the wind coming off the ocean, it was fairly breezy. Price is about $115 USD. Staff there were very nice and helpful. Excellent practice facility. There isn't really much of a 19th hole amenity. You can get a snack, beverage and beer. Great views. You cannot see ocean from the course. They have rentals if you need them. You can walk, have a caddie or take a cart. When I am back, I will play again. Of the three courses in Rio, I would rank 1) Olympic, 2) Itanhanga and 3) Gavea. All three are excellent courses, but Olympic is a must play.

Miracle Creek

Course needs to be called Miracle Creek. If you come to a green and don't see 5-10 unfixed ball marks, its a miracle. If you come to a bunker that doesn't need to be raked, its a miracle. Course is very nice layout. It gets a lot of play, and many of those folks just don't have respect to fix there ball marks, divots or bunkers.
