Cart Path Only deserves a discount.

Loved the new greens. Very challenging, because of the subtle breaks. Course played long because of the rain. But, most fairways were quite playable. Only a few casual water drops necessary.
I understand the need for cart path only to protect the course. But, If you are going to do that, then a discount should be applied to those who take a cart. It's actually
more work to take 3 clubs out to your ball, with towel and GPS.and return to the cart.

Good Day for Golf.

My brother and I had a good day on Eagle's Point. Weather was sunny and temps in mid 60's perfect for a round of golf. Course condition was good, except for some wet areas in front of greens and low lying spots in the fairways and tee boxes. Loved the undulating greens and they rolled nice. Not my first time at EP, so I liked that they switched the front and the back.

Heads Up Would've Been Nice.

Second time playing this Ron Garl layout. Enjoy the course and will return.
Little disappointing that Golf Now did not inform me of bunker construction and hole #12 being closed. I would think some kind of communication between course and booking site should be updated weekly. We could've played another course and came back at a later date to play this excellent course.

A Joy to Play

A straight forward course with wide fairways. Fairway bunkers on almost every hole to catch wayward drives.
Bunkers are not deep so playing to the green is a possibility.
Course condition is a A++++. Lush fairways & tees and the greens were wonderful. Some type of Bermuda Hybrid but rolled nice and subtle breaks to keep you guessing.
Needs another set of tees for senior's at the 4500 to 4600 yards and a kids tee box at the 3000 to 3500 yards.
I'll be back to place this fun and enjoyable course.

4 Hour Round

A very nice course. Condition of the tees, greens & fairways were excellent. Plenty of room off the tee to find the fairway or rough if you pull or slice it. Enough water left and right to keep you on your toes. Must be accurate off the tee to get your ball in position to make birdies. One of the best for providing enough tee boxes for all levels of play.
I counted 6 teeing areas on each hole. But, they still need another that falls between 4500 to 4800 yds. for super seniors and ladies that only drive their tee shots from 150 to 185 yards. Will definitely try and play here again.

One more set of tee's.

Course is in excellent condition. Mini Verde Greens putting very nicely and hardly any ball marks to fix on them. Some greens on the back seemed to be much slower than the ones on the front.
To help speed up play, you need one more set of tee boxes. Your Red yardage comes in at 4667 yds., which is too far for Beginners, Super Seniors and Young Kids. Another set at just over 4,000 yds. would work nicely for those who only hit their drives 150 to 175 yds. on average. This would reduce most par 4's to 190 to 260 yds. on average and give the opportunity for these short hitting players to be able to hit 7 irons to PW into these greens. It would also speed up play and make the game more fun for the inexperienced. I've noticed on another local course that they've changed the scorecard colors. They've moved the color red to the longest yardage set of tee's on the card and moved the black or gray to the up tee's. Good way to break the stigma attached to Red Tee's and get players with the help of the course to play the correct tee's for their games.

Red is the New Black

Reversing the colors on the scorecard is a great first step to get people to play forward tee's. Only problem is those beautiful metal tee plaques, on each hole, that still list Black for the back tee's.
Now, let's get serious on playing it forward. Your course needs to build two more tee boxes for ladies, super seniors & kids, if you truly want to grow the game. Since your course is hilly and fairways are lush you get very little roll out with tee shots. I played with my friend who is seventy four and he played from the up tees and he still was hitting 3 Metal on most of his second shots into par 4's. Think 200 yds. to 275 yds for most par 4's. Even senior players should have the opportunity to hit some 7irons to 9 irons into some par 4's. That means having tee boxes 50 to 100 yard further up the fairways on #1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 9, 12, 15, 16, 18. And, on par 5's like 4, 8, 10 & 17 you might want to move them even more than 100yds because of the difficulty of the hole. Driver, 3 metal, 3 metal and 7 iron to just get on the green is not having fun. And, I'm talking about a player that hits the ball straight but only carries his driver 150 to 175 yds on the level. We need par 5's to be 375 to 400 max on your hilly course. Come on' this isn't difficult to make some extra tees, which can also be used by youngsters and beginners, no matter what age. Oh, and did I mention that this will also speed up play and just maybe bring some golfers back sooner because they had some fun !

Signature Holes !

A great layout. I've played this course many times over the last 16 years, and I keep coming back for more. Hole 14 might be the designated signature hole but # 13, 17, 8, 9 & 10 could easily stand in for it.
I believe golf courses need to make playing more fun, especially if their going to attract new players and retain us boomers as we continue to age. I was glad to see junior markers in the fairways. But, you need another set of tee's that will average 4600 to 4800 yds. for seniors that only drive 175 to 200yds. These players should have the opportunity to hit some short irons into the greens. And, let's start promoting playing it forward for newby's and seniors, so we can all have fun and speed up play.

Needs 1 more Tee Box on Par 4's & 5's

Play it forward is only relevant if you have the correct tee boxes in place. If you have Senior Male Players who can only drive the ball 175 to 200 yds. on average, then they need to play from the present ladies tee's. Which means new Lady tee's need to be installed another 25 to 30 yds. in front of them.
Let's face the facts that for Senior Men & Women par 4's should all be under 300 yds and par 5's under 400. Let's make it fun, and who can have fun when your hitting driver, three wood for second shots all day ! Everyone should have a chance to hit 7 I to PW to most of the greeens. Men are not going to hit from Lady tee boxes, so let's make another Lady tee box in front of the present and call it Super Senior.

New changes to course.

It's been over a year since I've played the Falls. And, I like the new green on # 14. It is a lot less severe than the old one and the removal of trees around it should help it's growth. I don't understand the need for the removal of trees around #5, #6 & #16 but their gone now.
Overall the course played fine. The greens seemed to be very slow going uphill, but with 95+ degree days I can understand the greens being kept a little long.
Last but not least, have you heard about play it forward ? This course is a perfect example of not having enough tee boxes, so that senior ladies, senior men and kids can play it forward. You need to start thinking about people that can only drive the ball 150-200 yds. Par 4 holes should have additional tee boxes that play in the 260 to 310 yd. range. Not only would this speed up play but it would ultimately be more fun for those playing ! Imagine that ..... Bob Lerch

One of the most difficult courses I've ever played !

This is not a course for handicaps above 15. Greens were firm and fast and with the amount of undulations you must be able to read and have great touch. Fairways were firm and fast and many well sturck tee shots ended up in in the rough or worse. I've played at least 10 Nicklaus courses and this is by far the toughest. I'm a 10 handicap and I called uncle after my well sturck 7 iron found number 9 green, only to gather pace and roll off into a chipping area to the left front of the green next to the bunker, which left me an impossible chip with the green running away from me. And, this was not the first time this happened to me during the round. The green complexes are all elevated and really suited for the single digit player, who can hit high shots to a precise 10 to 15 foot target area on each green. Once was enough for me .............

Where's the clubhouse ?

One of the best conditioned courses we played on our annual golf trip to Naples. First time I've played on pasapalum grass. I was impressed with the firmness and pace of the greens. And, was pleasantly surprised by the thickness and greenness of the fairways.
We played the blue tee's and found it quite challenging. Would recommend white tees for 10 to 16 handicappers and above a 16, please move all the way up, because some of the forced carries can be quite intimidating on the long par 4's & par 5's.
Will definitely add to our must play list for next year. And, will look forward to a cold one on the balcony of the new clubhouse, overlooking the 18th green.
