I enjoyed this course. It was in good condition and the greens were excellent. Very undulating though. They were the most challenging part of the course. Not too long from the white tees if you’re not a long hitter. Great blend of short and longer par fours. The par fives are a little short but fun. I don’t really need 560 yard par fives in my life anyhow lol! Every person there including the guys I ended up playing with as a single couldn’t have been nicer. I like to play fast so I’ll try to be fair about pace of play. We played as a threesome and waited on most shots. It was approximately 4.5 hours which isn’t horrible. I’d prefer to get around in closer to 4 for a threesome if not less. It didn’t seem too crowded so a ranger may have helped shave some time but was not to be found. Honestly, I was enjoying myself and the weather so much, it didn’t matter. Nice course and worth a try.

This course is tremendous! It is a beautiful Payne Stewart designed course that can be fairly difficult. There are big elevation changes with many downhill shots so I don't think it plays as long as the numbers indicate. It's a lot of fun to play but if you spray the ball, you better bring a lot of balls and a good attitude. Very few times are you able to play from an adjacent hole. I also doubt you'll want to walk here. Greens were in wonderful condition and very challenging. Getting on in regulation will feel like a victory then you'll be faced with some pretty tough putts. It played about 7 strokes harder for me.Definitely play it-you won't be disappointed!

This course is difficult and not for beginners. If you spray the ball, bring a lot of balls and a good attitude. You simply must hit the ball in the right place because the course isn't very forgiving. I felt that, considering what California has gone through with the severe drought, the course was in nice shape. The greens were VERY good. Missed putts were my fault only. The layout is beautiful offering tremendous views but, again, is very challenging. It was tough to know what club to have in my hand on at least a half dozen tees-blew the ball through the fairway a couple times (even with a five wood). It's not overly long and I didn't feel like I had to swing out of my shoes all day. It would be easy to complain about a high score on this course but chances are it is too hard a course for some of the "displeased". It played 10 strokes harder for me but I enjoyed the challenge, the views and wonderful staff. They couldn't have been nicer (two in the pro shop and two in the restaurant). Had a great lunch to top it off.

I enjoyed playing this course. They put me with a threesome of great guys and we had a lot of fun. The course is pretty open so you can get away with some wayward tee shots. Hard fast fairways and similar greens. I imagine the drought has impacted this course as well as others so, that in mind, I felt the conditions were reasonable. I would have liked to see more green but I understand the challenge presented by Mother Nature. Greens putted fast but true. Very nice staff (especially Gianna) and I would highly recommend playing there.
