Just a shame you went from such a great course to mediocre at best. Can t get any of my many golfers to return.

I live in Sun City golf community. We take road trips often and Legends is a favorite. I always ask” what shape are you in- greens fairways” why drive an hour if conditions are not good since I have 3 beautiful courses here in Georgetown.
I was told “good shape.” We drove up and that was not true at all!! The fairways were rock hard and very little grass. The greens were in worse shape-riddled with poa a and many we were putting on dirt patches.
All I ask is be told the truth. My fellow golfers were very dissatisfied as was I. Just a waste of $$&time. To top it off we were behind a 4some of locals very very slow,we finally skipped #8 got in front of them but it also ruined our day.
Be honest when asked about conditions. As it stands now you hav 3 golfers telling the golf community here”stay away!

I am a regular here and bring people to the course a lot from my golf home in sun city. The course was in great shape however the pace of play was horrible,waited close to 5-6 minutes on vvery shot!!
Just a turtle crawl, I tried to call the pro shop 4 times to get a Marshall out and it was ridiculous,never got anyone who I could understand on the phone,the phone cut in and out,for heavens sake fix your phones.
As we came down 17 we finally saw the Marshall!! She was nice but said,” I m new at this but can see the groups a head are slow”
A lotta good that did us then.. just ruined what is usually a good time.
We went in to eat lunch and service there was slow too. Really dissatisfied and my guests were not happy either.

So the fairways n greens were very nice,however, the front plays along close by roads( lots of noise) close houses/yards with barking dogs and 1,2,8,18 surrounded by construction.
On the back we were told it nature. They were right however the holes run directionally opposite and close, we were hit into from golfers on the different holes coming toward several times by errant shots.
Several sand traps were hard pan almost without sand. Not what I expect from a 4.5 rated course. Pace was slow, I quit after 14- made my way in.

First I have played and been a huge fan of lighthouse for years. We come up from Sun City Georgetown at least once or twice a month,it salways in great shape. We played Tuesday 11/23.
The greens are always pretty quick( we love that) but that day they were rock hard,couldn’t t hold a high flop shot, normal pitches rolled off the greens, putting was ridiculous. We all had 4-6 3 putts. We are all 9 handicappers. Same with the fairways,rock hard. The traps most had hard packed and little sand. On the back we set a rule,”free drop from traps”
Half way thru the back we almost left, just unreal.
Now again let me say, I have always in the past been a great fan of lighthouse. This was just not a good experience at all and all of us commented we d not be back for a long time. We ve played several courses in the area,they are not having these issues. Real disappointment.

I love this course, have played it for years. Stopped bringing my guys on weekends because it was over $45.
I always try to bring a group up during the weekdays now I see the Golfnow rate is $48 for a Wednesday at 730am. Sorry guys I love Delaware but you are pricing us outta you course.

Greens slow,fairways rock hard 2 feet off all weeds. Not worth the hour drive
