At least a 12 on the greens. Fairly wide open. They are in the final stages of making a nice looking pub at the pool area. That will be where we stop after our rounds.

The greens were very slow as they haven't been mowed. It was like putting on the fairway.
I showed up an hour early so lunch would be possible. Checked with the starter and he wanted to know where I had been. Why? A half hour early for my tee time and he's rushing me to go out. There are better values around.

A classic Florida course. Well maintained. Greens can be tricky.

With so many tees to chose from, any level of golfer will find a challenge here. Wide fairways, yet water can prove difficult.

I was asked to tuck my shirt in. That was the last of our difficulties. Good layout. Plenty of water. Good pace. Nice 19th. Staff was friendly and accommodating. .

For an executive course, it is well maintained. Greens and tee boxes in good shape. Narrow fairways with lots of water.

This was my third trip to Seminole Lakes. Early for each visit by 15 min. Today by 30 min. Without fail, the starters and pro shop want me on the tee box 5 min ago. What gives?
The restaurant/bar serves a very limited menu. Special today was tomato soup. If there isn't time to eat something before hand it's nice to know they'll open a can of soup for you.
The course is one of the better executive courses around. Some water and sand challenges. I'll go back if I can't find a replacement, but it won't be my first choice.

Always in good condition. Layout is somewhat convoluted, but doable. Greens are fast and challenging.Wider than most fairways is good for us who have endured a slice for decades.

This will become an excellent course for average golfers. The layout is basically up and back, with few challenges. It's still in infancy. The pro shop is a trailer, no clubhouse yet. Staff was welcoming. This is open country. Wide fairways, but tricky greens. Babcock will become a real drawing counterpoint to crowded, urban courses.

I have been doing the Golf now for 5 years. In that time paired up with whoever the starter had for the tee time. Not once have they put me with a jerk. The men I played with yesterday were good examples of what a round should be. We looked out for each others ball, kidded around, and had a blast. Ken and Kevin, from Ontario, and Tom from Lehigh were what everyone should hope for in a partner.

Nothing on the website indicated this was a back nine twice ordeal. I would have picked another course. They should be done with reseeding in a week.

Rain had soaked the course a few days previously. Soggy fairways slowed play. Greens and tee boxes were in good shape. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The layout is above average for an executive course. Many opportunities to use driver. Very friendly patrons and staff. ai played with two members and they were very helpful and welcoming.

Beautiful course. Leave the fairway and you're in the mangroves.

Considering in was late January, and temp was mid 50's, this was a fun outing. This was our first visit. As such, it was difficult to see where we were going because of the undulating terrain. I probably won't get in so much trouble on our next go around.
The facilities could be a movie set for the next zombie apocalypse. The lodge went under in 2008. A trailer/boxcar in the pro shop. Doesn't matter, we played golf in January.

Weather was warm for late January. High 50's. Somewhat windy. A rolling terrain, combined with this being our first visit, made getting around dicey. The locals were always ready to give pointers on how to play a hole. It was pretty busy for a Friday, mid-winter midwest. A good risk reward course.
A note on arriving: your carts are at the bottom of the drive up to the clubhouse. Grab one and drive up the steep drive.

Beautiful natural setting. Undulating greens can be difficult. Accommodating staff. Our twosome picked up another Golfnow user. We have been extremely lucky in being paired up with other Golfnow users. Not a jerk in all our groups.

We have played courses in Il, MO, and WI so far this year. Atwood is the finest course we have played on. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were all in great shape. I thought they would be busier, given the deal of $16 for 18 and a cart. It's 40 miles from home, but worth the drive.

The park district has taken control of this short course. Fairways are over watered for being in the shade. A great deal of rotting stumps and roots make the rough a likely place to lose a ball. Open woodchuck holes dot the rough also. The club house has closed down, so food and beverage choices are from a reach in cooler in the pro shop. There are 3 better choices in the Oregon, IL area for your golf fix.
