Ann Arbor's historic Washtenaw Golf Club is now a welcoming public course

The charming, east side property dates back to 1899.

YPSILANTI, Mich. — One of Michigan's most historic clubs is now open to the public. Washtenaw Golf Club, bordering Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti in southeast Michigan, has new ownership and is now committed to operating as one of the top public courses in the market. Highlights in the round include four excellent par 5s, fast greens and some tactical par 4s.

There is a full clubhouse with restaurant and bar, a practice green and small driving range on site. Ownership is planning a restoration of the course with area golf course Ray Hearn that will adjust some greens, bunkers and include some tree management. Washtenaw has a reputation an one of the tighter courses in the area due to treelined fairways.
