Some of the most coveted golf experiences are those that are so far removed from development that you can see virtually nothing but nature around for miles and miles.
But the juxtaposition of turf and city skyscrapers is often times even more dramatic.
Golf courses so close to urban cores serve not only as a quiet respite for its residents but often typically serve environmental benefits as wildlife habitats, while the turf can serve as valuable acres of rainwater filtration and also help cool the air. The closer buildings soar near golf courses, the bigger the sense of place one feels when walking the turf. The denser the city, the more welcomed urban greenspace like golf can be (especially if you're in the desert).
