About The Virginian

Set deep within the Virginia Highlands, The Virginian is a private residential golf and lifestyle community, with a deep heritage. The quiet country living perfectly frames an immaculate Tom Fazio-designed golf course that has won numerous accolades and hosted numerous championships, including a USGA championship. Its practice facility is the perfect place to hone your game, complete with a range, short game area to work on chipping, pitching, and your sand game, and a putting green to practice short and long putts and three practice holes. On the more than 1500 acres, you will find gorgeous homes, three signature restaurants, a Swim, Racquet & Fitness Club, and “The Round” amphitheater hosting a summer concert series. At the heart of the community is a gorgeous 44,000-square-foot stone and wood clubhouse. Its hidden gem, Nicewonder Farm & Vineyards is home to the award-winning Nicewonder Vineyards. In addition, there, you will find Taste, Wood-Fired Kitchen, a uniquely designed open-air restaurant featuring Appalachian style cooking, the likes of which you have never experienced from its celebrity chef. While there, visit the brand new Tasting Room offering wine tastings of its Nicewonder Vineyards renowned wines. The acres of rolling hills include fitness trails, mountain biking, fresh produce for sale, a beautiful lake, and much more. Coming in late 2020 will be luxury wood yurts, the first accommodations at Nicewonder Farm & Vineyards, as a prelude to the opening of The Inn, a 28 room boutique luxury inn, with its signature restaurant, infinity pool, and much more in mid-2021
