Az golf resort
This is always an enjoyable course to play with my buddies from work. It is a challenging course for the money. With costs of everything going up it’s nice to have a course that’s priced resonably during high season.
Brutal
We played one hole and then it started to hail, then turned to heavy rain and wind. We went in and asked for a rain check and they said no because we started to play. They just lost 4 customers!!
Arizona Golf Resort - Disappointing experience
You can’t do anything about the weather as we slogged through some rain, wind and hail, a rare occurrence in March in Phoenix. However it did clear up and after a short break and discussion with the pro shop employee, I was grateful to finish the round. What was surprising is there was no rain check or subsequent booking offered. The employee stated “I don’t make the rules”. Fine, but he was of no help. On top of that, my playing partners paid for rental clubs which the course didn’t have. They were going to have to do battle with the pro shop after the round to get a refund. The course itself had a good layout but was in fair condition and overpriced at $71 for a weekday round. There was mention of a beverage cart but none was out there. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend the course unless you’re just looking to get a round in without any good options available on short notice.
Better than it used to be!
Staff was great! Carts were clean! Most tee boxes were good, a couple could use some seeding. Fairways mostly good, greens good. Could use more sand in the bunkers as most courses in the AZ desert! Some muddy areas and standing water noted so had to move your ball. Some patchy long vegetation noted in the roughs to hide a wayward hit ball. The course restrooms could use some help and refreshing. Overall this course has improved immensely since the last time we played it!

Nice Overall Value for the experience
Course is nicely laid out and not too difficult and in it's day must have really been a great course and resort. It would be wonderful if it could be brought back to life.

Very poor practice facility
People were nice, but only practice putting green was like putting on the fringe of the green, didn't help at all with actual greens.

Good Value
The course is a very good value, but you get what you pay for. The rough can be unplayable hard packed dirt in places. The fairways do have some rough spots but in general are in good shape. Greens are also in good shape. The best twighlight rate anywhere!
Beautiful Day for Golf
Golf course staff was very professional and handled a small glitch. Course was in good condition, could use re-seeding in various areas. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Lack of empathy
I'm almost 64 years old. About halfway through the front nine, I pulled a muscle in my back. Painfully I finished the front nine but could not finish the 18 hole round. I asked the pro shop employee for a raincheck for the other nine holes but he stated he was not authorized to give one. Essentially it cost me approx $65 for nine holes. I don't think I will be returning to this course again. Fairly new to AZ. Maybe no course would have given a raincheck. Things happen even on a golf course and the establishment should do better at taking care of the customer.
Perhaps call the GM at the course and explain your situation. The person in the Pro Shop may just have been following orders.
