Fun course to play!

Fun course to play! Fairways and greens in great shape! Pace of play slower than the last time we played, probably due to time of year( spring break etc.) but still a good time!
The cart boys at check in were not as friendly and professional as last time!

Enjoyable round at Arizona Grande.

We played an enjoyable round at the Arizona grande. Interesting layout as it has 9 traditional holes and 9 in the desert. The course was in very good shape. Water on the first 5 holes was not kind to us, but the holes were interesting. We really enjoyed the back 9 that took you away from playing in the development and more into the desert. Some. Dry fun and interesting holes with big elevation changes, and some great views.

They don’t have a full practice facility which was a bit of a letdown, but great value and would definitely play this course again.

Very friendly and helpful staff.

High price poor course condition

For what we paid it was a okay course. Lots of bad rough spots on the fairway. The ground was so hard it was difficult to place your tee. I would rethink playing the course again. Took us 6 hr to finish 18. slow play

Phantom Horse

Last time I played everything was 5 STAR.
Tee boxes, except, 1 were atrocious, small and not well maintained, not enough of deterrent to being less than 4 star. The view on 18 is worth waiting for.
Play was a little slow, but it’s a busy season should expect it.

Fun course

Had good time playing this course. Bring a bunch of balls as the first 4 to 5 holes have lots of water combined with blind shots. The tee boxes need some work hut the course was in great condition everywhere else. Would play again.

Great views

The course is as pretty looking as any I’ve played in a while.
I wasn’t sure that in the rough if I was playing at Torre Pines or Palmer's invitational. My primary complaint of the course was the tee boxes, they’re a disaster, rough and narrow.

Challenging and scenic

The course is challenging and scenic, particularly the back nine! Pace of play was good on the front but really slowed down on the back. Unfortunately, a thunderstorm moved in and we had to abandon the course on the 14th hole (farthest from the starting hole). We were soaked by the time we meandered our way back to the clubhouse.
Course was mostly in good shape. It would have been nice to be told about the huge roped off area on #2. Hitting left to shorten the hole can get you in trouble and behind the barriers! GPS on carts was nice but our cart kept telling us we were in a restricted area when we were not. It was annoying that the carts only allowed you to go so fast in some areas especially when we were trying to beat the storm back!

Money Better Spent Elsewhere

The staff wasn’t that polite. The driving range is nothing but a cage or three people can hit two net about 10 yards in front of you. There are some holes that you better be a PGA professional to hit the fairway. The putting green was only three little holes so you get four people on it and you’re crowded.

Gorgeous course

It was a beautiful course, well maintained and challenging. Staff was great. Only complaint is that they should monitor the pace of play. It took our twosome 4 hours to play 18. We waited on every hole because nobody asked the slow group ( also a twosome) to pick up the pace.

Target golf. Much improved.

A few years ago the course conditions had deteriorated to the point that I no longer looked for tee times here. Gave it another chance, out of desperation, and I'm happy to report that they have really brought it back to good shape. Not perfect but better than average at this price point. If you haven't played Phantom Horse, it is well worth a go. It's a shorter golf course demanding accuracy and strategy. Nice views. If you forget your driver at home, you might not miss it.
