Sewailo
The course was great. The greeters not so much. 3 greeters totally ignored me. I dropped my bag went and parked, came back and my bag was exactly where I had left it. No big deal, I loaded it & went on to the putting green, practice area. Starter was friendly enough but then told I had the wrong cart. I told him o'well & what had happened at curbside. All good after that. I love Sewailo but you're constantly having to get cart gps back to course because of notes constantly popping up on screen. I will be back, Far too nice of a golf course to let a couple issues keep me away. One of the best in Tucson.
Game tester!!!
This course will test your game on all levels. Tee boxes are set up for all to have some fun. Get 3 friends and get your tee time soon.
Sewailo
It’s winter so there’s dormant grass in the rough. Harder then I remember. Lots of water and bunkers and narrow fairways. Definitely a great challenge.
Conditions?
Sewailo is one of our favorite Tucson courses and continues to be. With that said, the conditions during this last round were as bad as I’ve seen them. Fairways were very thin. Despite the greens still being great, they are getting a little beat up. We have had a lot of rain lately which is creating muddy conditions. While I’m a little concerned about the course, I would still consider this one of the better places to play in Tucson.
Good but could be better
The fairways had a lot of holes and chunks missing unfortunately I think that comes from the other guests just going for it a little to much. The greens were very wet and soft. A ball from 50 yards out could hit and make a quarter inch divot on the green. Which the greens had patches everywhere! We ended up being 15 minutes behind due to the groups ahead. Not to mention on tire goes into the dirt and you cart automatically shuts down was frustrating at times. For the price and the hype I expected more honestly.
Great Course - No Course Management
I really like this course. But when I pay $70 in the afternoon and I should have enough time to finish 18, it’s a huge disappointment. No rangers on the course, no one monitoring pace of play - it’s a real disappointment. I’m not the best golfer (7.2 index), but I always play fast and the courses here need to step up. If I was able to finish, it would have been a 5+ hour round; unacceptable. It will be some time before I play again here; solely for the reason of slow play and no one around to manage it.
Please fix your divots!
This is such a nice course but is slowly getting ruined by the idiots who think they don’t have to fix that huge mark there ball made on the green. Even if you didn’t make 1 fix a few while your standing there.
