Teed off on time. Staff very friendly. Two groups held up front nine. Over two hours to complete. Thankfully they only played nine. Wide open fairways. But very small greens which were well bunkered. Sand comes into play because of small greens and difficult to get up and down from sand. Price ok but wouldn’t play again due to small greens . very courteous staff
Love the trees on course. Sand traps were good. Overall course is in the best shape I have ever seen. Great work.
Great Value - Best conditions of all the courses in the area
This is great course - Black T’s 6640yds; Blue’s 6200; mature trees, good variability of landscape, sand traps have good sand, a few water holes, grass, greens and whole course is in the Best Condition of all the other courses I played this week in the area.
A couple of holes are narrow and can play into each other, otherwise some good variety. Staff is terrific - they are really trying to bring this back to top condition. I would play this course regularly if I lived here.
The course is in good shape. Pace of play was slow though. Waited on almost every hole. Not for long but did wait.
Relaxing golf week
Three staff was very friendly and helpful! This was not a desert course, lots of grass. The tee boxes were dry, hard to get the tee in the ground on the ladies tee boxes. The fairways were wide, easy to keep the ball in the fairway. The greens were small so you have to be quite accurate.
Round took over 5 hours to play. Pro shop said they were on time, hot to Marshall running 20 minutes behind and no Marshall on course . They put to many golfers in short intervals. Waited on every jhole
Small greens surrounded by bunkers.
A very flat, straight course, but made difficult by tiny greens surrounded by large bunkers. Of note are the following oddities: back to back 464 yard holes with the harder of them being a par 4 and the easier a par 5, which are soon followed by an easy par 5 that is only 423 yards long.
Course in good shape and it was a beautiful day to play. Very enjoyable. Thank you.
Opened in 1913 and still great to play!
The course is longish and one of those favorite old style designs. Smaller greens with real sand bunkers. I haven't played this course in 20 years and i will be back soon.
