Great day at Eagle Mountain! Photo submitted by uOQDZ5699OQ on 09/26/2012
Good course overall
Course in good condition overall. PAce of play good . Staff friendly and helpful
Great value
Course conditions, layout, & amenities were great. For this time of year, pricing was definitely fair. Elevation changes provide great views & challenging shot selection.
Beautiful Views with challenges everywhere.
I played with my son and absolutely believe this to be one of the best courses we have played. The fairways were great, greens were a tad slow but very consistent. We played SunRidge Canyon Golf Club the next day, and feel that Eagle Mountain Golf Club was definitely a better deal with better views.
Nice variations in layout & elevations
As an easterner playing this course, we were entertained and enjoyed the valley views! The course was entertaining and fairways were in nice shape as well as the Tee boxes.
Place of play was good but at times we ran up on the group ahead of us on Par 3's. I would certainly play it again but my experience with Desert golf is not extensive.
Seafury
Eagle Mountain has always been one of my favorite courses. The condition was very good considering the time of the year as right in the middle of the summer. My issues come from the pricing. Our tee time was at 2:10pm and it was 105 degrees however they do provide coolers with ice and drinking water on the course. The green fees were $60.00 including tax. At this price you would think that the cart would have ball tees and GPS but no.
We-Ko-Pah Golf Course just a couple miles down the road has two 18-hole championship courses that provide Arizona resident rates that Eagle Mountain does not. With that rate you can play any time of the day and it is just a few dollars more with all the luxuries that you would expect with the that type of pricing. Sorry for the long rant. Eagle Mountain is a very good course but too high on their green fees at 2:00pm in the good old summertime!!
Great views
The course is in great condition and the staff is very friendly.
Awesome
Course and greens in Amazing shape for this time of year. Love the rolling greens . Great layout .Strongly recommend this course
Thank you for the review
Thanks for the great review, hope to see you again soon
Great Time
Course is in great shape considering lack of rain here in Phoenix area. Greens were rolling so nice, tee boxes, fairways , bunkers all in great shape. Great pace of play, did not have to wait on any shots with our 8:10 t time. Will be back.
Thank you for the great review. See you again soon
A Day With Friends
We had a great day, even with the high temps and humidity. The slight breeze because of location made it nice! Great staff, great course, and a good 19th hole.
Thank you for the review. Glad you enjoyed your day and hope to see you again soon.
Good condition for summer
For summer time in Arizona, this course is doing well and the greens were great. A few tee boxes struggling with the summer heat but otherwise no issues. I was concerned based on some other reviews but was very happy with the course and will return.
The course is not easy and requires a lot of walking/climbing. This course probably isn’t for everyone.
Bag drop guys were friendly. ProShop was okay…there are more friendly and updated pro shops in the area.
Nice course especially with the lower summer rate.
Thank you for the comments. Hope to see you again soon...
Resort course/fairway friendly
Speed of play was pretty good for a hot, summer holiday ‘weekend’ (3rd of July). Which goes a long way as the most important thing. 4/5
The course had several spots where summer/winter grass we’re battling for dominance and left some bad patches. And the greens rolled slower than I was expecting, I’m guessing because they are setting up to punch them in a week or two. Overall 3.5/5.
Staff was good to great 4.5/5
Pride is 4/5, fairly priced.
Course layout was almost too easy. Not really, but very fairway friendly with several of my errant tee shots conveniently rolling into the fairway.
Thank you for your comments. Transition is a little slower than normal due to lack of rain but getting better everyday...
Condition of course was not very good. Lot of ground under repair on tee boxes and around greens.
Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately we, like many other courses are in the middle of transition (winter to summer grass) and without rain the process is taking a little longer
Great course and views
First time at Eagle Mountain. Course is set in the foothills with a good variety of shots and elevation changes. We played from the back tees and the longest carry we had was about 215 yds. The greens held pretty well if you bring it in high but can roll out on lower shots. Greens putted well but seemed to break a little less than i was expecting (could be user error).
The bag and cart attendees were very friendly and helpful. I look forward to playing this course again.
Thank you for your comments and hope to see you again soon.
First time
Greens fast, fairways funnel down on several holes but course was still very challenging from the tips. I wouldn’t not play the tips again. Lots of walking up hills even with a golf cart. One of my favorite courses I’ve ever played though
Appreciate the 5 stars and hope to see you again soon
Father’s Day round
I had a great time playing with my son this Father’s Day. We play the course often. It’s always a good time.
