Great course , good shape , nice views
It was well worth the money , great course , well kept , great service !
Nice course and friendly staff
I was a single golfer playing this course for the first time and the staff managed to put me with a 3 ball which was good as I hate playing on my own. Practice facilities are excellent and it's easy to warm up with range balls and putting greens. Golf buggy was equipped with a GPS system that worked well and gave accurate yardages. Pity it locked me out a few times when I was nowhere near the green!
It's a pricey course for sure but as long as you play conservative golf you will find it relatively easy to shoot par. Keep out of the bunkers as they are huge.
The course layout is OK but some of the pin positions were evil. I guess the Greenkeeper was in a bad mood that day.
good course and challenging
faldo wildfire has a good layout, lots of sand traps, good greens and good bunkering . front 9 was 2 hours. back 2.5, little slow.
Not quite what I remembered but still very good
I played Wildfire’s Palmer course in 1998 and hadn’t been back since. In 1998, it was the first time I experienced truly first rate conditions and beautiful design. It still is all of that, but I’ve been fortunate to play other great courses over the years, so this one doesn’t blow me away now.
Tuesday Golf
Very solid course, everything is right in front of u from the t boxes so able to comfortably hit the proper t shots based on hole design. Conditions were top notch especially greens and bunkers. Greens are heavily guarded by sand so being your beach toys. Bunkers are deep
A really fair test for all levels. My playing partner who struggles with forced carries and accuracy was able to keep his ball on the course for the most part and legitimately broke 95, so very playable
Tuesday afternoon After WM Open Faldo
Had a great round for a Tuesday afternoon. Very busy course, 2:00 teetime, was done in 3 and a half hours. Fairways were immaculate. Greens ran true at a nice speed, where you could actually make a stroke. Layout challenging but fair. Lots of sand everywhere. Know your distances to bunkers off tee and you will be fine. Had a great day, won 11 skins from my buddies made round that much later.
Wildfire-Faldo
Great course, wide fairways, pace of play was great because tee times were spaced at 7 or 8 minutes.
My only delta was that the sand traps were mostly small pebbles and very thin.
Course condition
Course was great, however one issue with a few of the greenside bunkers, which had little to no sand base at the bottom of these bunkers. Given that one of the features of the course is the bunkering, the bunkers should be more consistent. Thanks.
Sand Traps Galore
Very well laid out course with over 100 sand traps. Course is very well maintained and a good test of golf.
Price to play is a bit on the high side for this course and club rental is way overpriced.
