Should cut the cost during reseeding!
The course was designed to shoot lower scores but the greens were not much different than the fairways. Impossible to make putts outside of 4 ft due to the length of the grass on the greens. There should have been a price break for those conditions!
Arizona Desert Golf is the best
I’m a big fan of the Arnold Palmer signature courses. This one did not let me down. Everything was wonderful except the greens were just a little too hairy for my liking they definitely could be cut down a little bit to make them faster. All in all this course is wonderful and I can’t wait to make it back to play the Faldo course..
Not worth for the $200+
Fairway is good but there are wet spot around the green and fairway. Green are good not too fast. Driving range is close for over seeding. But I don’t think it worth the $200+ they charge for the course.
Fun with Faldo
A fun but challenging course, bunkers & traps abound. Some of the fairways were a little wet & muddy in spots but overall the course was in good condition. Greens are fast & sand traps are firmer than east coast courses _ just something to consider & make adjustments accordingly. Professional & friendly staff, especially in the clubhouse. Nice facilities as you would expect at a JW resort.
5 hour round
Otherwise it was good. 5 hours and waiting every hole. No ready golf going on here.
Plays Long
Conditions at Wildfire are always excellent. Got behind a threesome of novice players on the back nine and wished for a marshal to work that out, but that is not usually a problem here. The Faldo course always plays a bit long for my game so most par 4s are up and down affairs. Need to score on the par 3s and 5s.
Excellent golf Course
Course in very good condition...pace was perfect. Excellent staff. Highly recommend
Disappointed to say the least
We were really looking forward to playing this course. The course was in very good condition and the sand traps were perfect. We started our round at 12:45 and it was a little over 100°. At 1:10 the cart person came to us and said it was last call and that she was leaving the course. We bought some beverages and put ice in the cooler that of course did not last long before the drink started to warm up. After 9:00 we stopped at the clubhouse and they did not sell beverages. They said there was no cart and that's the way it was. We were expecting top service at this course and honestly it was worse than any municipal course that I've played in recent memory.
Wildfire - Faldo - many great Bunker locations
The Faldo course is great fun to play. It challenges the golfer with many strategic bunkers around the course and they and the course the very well maintained.
Wildfire Palmer
A challenging course that requires you to hit target distances and alignments. Hit too short or too long and you’ll find the bunkers or natural washes. Hit off line and you will be in desert scrub or the water. Conditions are excellent. Greens, fairways and bunkers are all in great shape. No time upon hitting in the fairway did i feel I got cheated because of landing on poor grass or bare ground. The greens all rolled consistently and fairly.
Scottsdale Tommy
Great local course for Valley residents. Price was exceptional and locals could only hope more AZ courses would give a chance to full time locals a fair price and play 🏌🏼♂️🏌🏼♂️
