A fun par 3 to try
If you are looking to swing the sticks but want a quicker outing Mountain Shadows is perfect. Pleasant surroundings, great staff and surprisingly challenging. Rusty’s offers good food and cold beer with a lovely Mountain Shadows view. A great low intensity outing.
Course was great fun
Staff was great, on course facilities and cart girls were great. For a par three hard to par as the course and greens are all tricky with sand and multi slope greens. Wife loved it, was a lot of fun would play it again!
Mountain Shadows Review
Great course to work on your short game. Course layout and elevational changes made for a challenge but made it a lot of fun to play. Beautiful scenery on all 18 holes.
Attention
This course has 18 par 3 holes. This is not clear on the homepage. Tee-Boxes in miserable condition, the greens as well. On some holes a lob wedge is too long. Far too expensive for "mini golf".
Glad I gave the course a try.
Beautiful course that is not easy. Sloping and fast greens make every swing necessary to be be struck well. A bit over priced unless one gets a good hot deal. I would play again.
Thank you for the 5 Star review!
It’s not worth $104 for a par 3. Course is subpar at best.
Was sucked into playing the course by the proshop, as I wanted to cancel and was told it would the best par 3 course in the US. The greens design was good, but not in food shape. Very expensive, as I could have played very decent full 18 hole course.
Thank you for the feedback and we are sorry you didn't find the same enjoyment in our experience that many guests and residents do. We pride ourselves on being a premier resort and golf course. We just happen to have 18 par 3’s at a fraction of the price of other nice golf resorts. Every green is very unique and most people find it interesting and enjoyable. And we’re at the base of Camelback Mountain with one of the best views in town.
Greens
Greens were slow but the scenic views were amazing.
fun course great staff
It was fun par 3 course great pace and lots of fun.
Thank you for the 5 star review.
Fun course in great location
The course is in great condition as buggies do not drive on the grass. The concept of a par 3 course like this is great in attracting people to golf. It is also in a fantastic location next to the mountains
Great course
Greens are super fast and challenging. We had a group behind us that hit into us twice. No course marshals around. So after the second time I went back and told them to stop. For the price of this course I would expect people to have a little better golf etiquette.
Thank you for the 5 star review!
Nice youth or beginners course
Okay experience if you’re working on short game. Tee boxes were in poor condition. Overpriced for course conditions and length.
Thank you for the feedback.
We're sorry you didn't find the same enjoyment as many of our golfers. A recent 3-day event just concluded, and the tees are recovering. The greens and fairways are in great condition. And we host a skins game on Tuesdays, where mini tour and regular PGA Tour players enjoy the competition at The Short Course.
Thank you for the 5 Star Review
It's understood that not everyone enjoys Par 3 golf. Greens were aerified in mid June and have recovered nicely. No, greens are not at winter putting speeds, but plenty of grass on the course. Thank you for your feedback.
