On a hot deal it’s a great track
Had a family golf day and have to say the track was just above average but really enjoyed the facility and the staff was super friendly and pace of play was excellent.
Not a $150 course
The course was ok, but I saved it for the last course in my trip and it was not worth the price. The grass was dormant on a significant portion of the course. The bunkers were not maintained. It is an ok course and worth a play but not above $90.
Amazing staff
Can’t complain too much, but in from Canada where we’re not golfing right now. I know it’s peak season and the prices are way above average.
All in all, decent little track.
A Golf "Resort"?
For about 3-4 years, I sent an email with strong criticism of the bunkers--hard-packed "clay" type. Playing yesterday, it's apparent OT has done a lot of work on the bunkers, but not enough, as in several, there appeared to be just a few inches of (now) sand, which resulted in skulled shots.
While OT is obviously trying to make good improvements, such as actual tee box markers rather than the pieces of wood in years past and new signage... the greens and tee boxes themselves need a lot of work, especially the greens, which are old, spotty, and inconsistent. Most of the tee boxes are cambered or uneven, which creates up or downhill shots. Again, anyone, especially someone who is a first-time "Resort" player or even the average golfer, will be greatly disappointed in playing conditions.
Finally, player services must ensure the sand bottles and the drinking water on the course are filled.
Orange Tree
Well maintained course, outstanding customer service and very very nice amenities. Highly recommend this course.
Could not hit woods on range due to golf school at other end. Had to pay for range balls
Very enjoyable round
The Orange Tree staff got our group out early and the pace of play was excellent - just under 4 hours for a foursome. Course conditions were tee boxes 6/10, fairways 9/10, greens 6/10. Perfect weather and an enjoyable round overall.
good practice course
pretty traditional layout with wide open fairways made for easy play. Greens had a lot of unfixed ball marks but we were following a charity tourney... Connor at the backshop was top notch. Not the cursory wipe of the clubs at most courses....
