About Talking Stick Resort & Casino
Just east of Phoenix-Scottsdale, Talking Stick Resort is owned and operated by the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. It is among Arizona's largest golf and casino resorts with nearly 500 guest rooms in a 15-story hotel tower, six restaurants, entertainment and pools. Located off the Highway 101 loop, it is conveniently located near Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport and many of the area's best golf courses. In addition to nightlife and live casino action at the resort, a Topgolf was recently added to the property as well. The main outdoor pool is large and has live music and DJs during a summer series and cabanas for rent, while there are two smaller pools. Additional amenities include a spa, fitness center and a complimentary shuttle that can transport guests to area attractions. The golf club is located next door and feature 36 holes designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, the Piipash and O'odham. Both golf courses are void of residential development and feature forgiving fairways and greens on native terrain.Facts

Eighteen green Photo submitted by Rosey461 on 06/16/2014
At $70 this is an ok course
1st time here. Golf carts are nice. Most tee boxes are nice. Most fairways are nice. Greens are firm - expected given the desert. Would only play here again if the price is right - $100 US is maximum price - not worth anything more. It is peaceful also - cannot hear any freeway noise. Easy to get to.
Best fairways I have played in reasonable cost course
If you get the hot deal this is a can’t miss round! The fairways are incredible shape and lots of width for the errant shot that can come out. Greens are tough to hold but in great shape and bunkers are sweet. Pace of play was good done in 4:05.
Just Amazing
I think this is one of the Gem courses in the valley. It has big fairways, greens are always in great shape. This course always is a pleasure to play, particularly when you can find a deal under $70
Fun/hard course views are lacking
It's a fun course if you hit the ball straight. Not strait you are in the unplayable desert. Nice conditions and greens.
Great shape
Course turf almost seems artificial it is so green. Wide fairways and minimal hazards. Suppose the hole with the gulch running through it is the signature hole. Can get a good deal on a hot deal but not worth the rate sheet price.
Great course for a hot deal
The course conditions were excellent. Extremely wide fairways with a lot of strategically placed bunkers that force decisions off the tee. Great staff and practice facilities. Clubhouse is currently under construction. I got a Hot Deal so the value for this round was great.
Well kept, friendly
Everyone on the staff was really nice. Free golf range and golf tees to warm up. The course was very well. Kept pro shop a little pricey but which ones aren’t? Overall great experience not only would I go again but I have already recommended somebody.
Great course and staff
Beautiful day and thrown in a group: 2 locals and 1 other out of state visitor. They had all played the course & offered some local knowledge. Great guys and the course was well-kept. Greens rolled well and the GPS on carts very true. Wish I had walked but cart included.
Talking Stick is Recommended
The Talking Stick Courses are fabulous. I highly recommend them both. I typically play over 150 rounds a year, so I obviously play a lot of courses.
The course is challenging with some extra room in the fairways and tough undulating greens. The course layout can be reasonably be seen and understood before your shot rather than afterward. I hate ah ha moments after the shot and driving up to my ball to see hidden features that I wish I knew about before my shot.
Generic Public Course
The course is nothing special. In a town surrounded by fantastic courses, this is underwhelming.
Busy Day
The course was in great shape. Very busy and the round was very slow. Didn’t finish last two holes.
