Additional amenities include a spa, fitness center and a complimentary shuttle that can transport guests to area attractions. The golf club is located next door and feature 36 holes designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, the Piipash and O'odham. Both golf courses are void of residential development and feature forgiving fairways and greens on native terrain.Facts

Must know before you go
Great course and layout. Greens were bumpy and should be in better shape in a couple of weeks. The disappointing part was there was no practice putting green available or chipping area. I booked on line and there was no disclosure online or at check in. I felt sorry for the starter having to deal with that all morning. I'm sure the greens and practice area will be improved shortly. Before playing again I'll ask first.
Talking Stick
Played here a few years ago and really enjoyed the course. Today was just as good, nice fairways, great pace of play, solid greens.
Not Good!!
Have played this course many times, besides the club house remodel, course is in terrible condition,. Greens haven’t recovered from punching and no sand in sand traps..save your money until they figure it out!!
Greens have been aerated
Played a four-hour round for four on the South/Piipaash Course at 111*. Conditions were generally acceptable; however, the greens had recently received their summer aeration, thus putting was an experience into the uncertain, with the ball bouncing all over the surface, from one dimple to the next, at a very slow pace. It was much-more tolerable when we finally decided to give everyone a max. of two putts per hole. My guess it will take 2-3 weeks before the greens have returned to form.
A Cut Above
Played 18 each morning I was in Scottsdale and came here after. Considerably firmer and faster than elsewhere, better turf, really beautiful place. Abundant wildlife, breezy pace, met great people out on the course. Definitely coming back and highly recommend the evening summer round, really not that hot and extra beautiful.
Okay for summer in Phoenix
Very hot (June in Phoenix). Played O'odham as Pipash was closed. Hot deal does not specify course. Course is very flat and dried out. Fairways are alive, can not go in native area. Greens have many subtle breaks. Course is par 70, so choose distance carefully. Clubhouse is operating out of a trailer for about another year. Not my favorite course in the valley, but is a good deal using a hot deal.
Poor pace of play - 4.5 hour golf round...
Played great. Poor pace of play. Starter saw that the group in front of us played 25min for the first hole and assured us Ranger will keep up pace of play After the second Hole and additional 25 min waiting for the second hole my playing partner called the Pro Shop to get a Marshall to the group ahead of us. The Marshall came but never bothered to speed up the group ahead of us. My playing partner quit after 9 holes because he couldn't watch and wait any more. BTW on the 18th hole I waited on my teebox and the group ahead of me was still on the 18th teebox and I asked the Marshall if nobody is in front of the group ahead of them... He said the group ahead of them finished a while ago. HaHaHa Thank you for a not so enjoyable round.
Nice course. Great value for a weekend round
Course was in very good condition. Flat as a pancake and not extremely interesting layout. Range balls included. I would play again
Out of Town
I came to town 3 days prior to a celebration I was attending. Playing golf for 2 of those days was my plan. Much to my surprise Talking Sticks (2.5 miles) was my closes option. It was a very good coincidence. I made arrangements to practice one day and play the next. I had a very good round.
I was greeted by an abundance of 4 legged prairie rodents throughout my play and even saw a coyote searching for prey. I Never felt threatened by either.
It all made for a good day for me in the desert 🏜.
My eye allergy flared from the windv conditions and sand .
Always very enjoyable
Talking Stick is always a nice day of golf. Good value, conditions, range, pace of play and staff. Has never disappointed. I've played many courses in the area but always get a round in at talking Stick when in town. Even saw Charles Barkley on the range last visit, great guy.
Sandy greens
Was supposed to go off on south course - greens were good but they put me on north course with sandy greens. Wait a few weeks to play.
