Great course conditions.
We played Devil’s Claw in the afternoon, and the course conditions were absolutely spectacular. The practice facilities are second to none and everybody we met with was very friendly and helpful. The pace of play on the back nine was quite slow, but we will definitely come back here again.
5 hour round
Pace of play was horrendous and not much was done to speed people up.
Nice layout. Greens are very true.
We enjoyed our round, and had a great pairing, since we were a twosome. Course is very playable and the greens were in great shape.
Recommend the course
Everything was good from the driving range, putting green, tee boxes, fairways and greens
Bunkers were good, a few needed more sand
Overall great experience, will be back.
The pace of play was terrible. We played in four hours and 45 minutes. I think you need to go back to being a Troon course maybe things will improve!!
Beautifully Maintained Course
Greens were perfection. Grounds were well maintained and the course employees were friendly and helpful. We will definitely return when in Arizona.
Starter must been having a bad day. He wasn’t very nice!!
Nice desert corse
This course wasn't as lush as I rembered. It has a great practice area included with greens fee. The course overall is in good condition all around. Greens are firm a quick.Sand traps are in good shape and plentiful. The course gets tough as the day wears on. There are a couple doglegs with blind layup shots. We saw a giant fat rattlesnack off one of the greens. That was a first I'd be fine not repeating. A highlight is a cold brew at the Gila River Casino after the round.
Favorite course
This is one of our favorites in the Phoenix area and it didn’t disappoint. Overpriced as most of the area courses are but we got a hot deal on golf now that made it more affordable..
Cattail at Whirlwind does not disappoint
Cattail is a great layout, meticulously maintained and does not disappoint. Great course! I rated it only four stars for value because all Phoenix golf in February and March is now priced sky high. No wonder the airport is named Sky Harbor!
