The good news is the course is in the middle of old-growth Redwoods...nice!
Although I've looked forward to playing this course for many years, it was just too far away. However, I found a great price on Thursday. The google machine said it was "established" in 1961, but any the upgrades are hard to find. The COVID monster is now allowing us to play golf safely so the grounds should be really good right?
The drive there is nightmarish and Hwy 9 or Bear Creek Road NO-FUN.

Off the beaten path , Excellent value along with a challenging intermediate experience
Played for the first time and it’s very out there in the wilderness and loved the nature vibe and remoteness of playing along all the redwood lined fairways , course conditions were a C+ , with greens a solid B and fairways getting a C- as crab grass very prevalent but this is more of a description for all of you more than me complaining as I had a great time and was challenged on some holes for instance a 190 par 3 over a small ravine just short of the green which is elevated ... btw birdied that hole but if you have a chance to get out and have a free day def worth every penny !!
Cool place to pkay
Good course, not long . Perfect for fine tuning your irons.
Fun and Challenging!
Beautiful course that is a pleasant walk and a challenging layout. The shorter yardage than the average course was a nice change of pace. The greens were well kept and had plenty of slope and undulation. Coupled with the tight tee shots among the Redwoods, it’s a beautiful golf experience.
...a pleasant, satisfying golf outing and an excellent $ value. The greeting in the club house was cordial. I think a few “next Hole arrow signs” would be helpful to guide the “first timer.” The putting greens were very good, smooth and manicured. The shade provided by the magnificent redwood trees was appreciated. Thanks for a most enjoyable golf day!

Walking course only during Covid19
The course was in good condition with better than usual greens. The only downside is the 10-12th holes are down for a structural repair but the green fees reflect a reduction in costs to offset.
Gem of a course
This course might be a bit of the beaten path for most but is an excellent value for money and a beautiful walk through the redwoods. It has friendly staff and the pace of play was great. I would highly recommend playing this course.
First time as we reopen county
The course was in great shape. Some narrow fairways which were great. Three holes were closed off but we were made aware of this before we booked our round.
I was okay not having a cart, but was not sure why they had no pull carts available. I will definitely play here again.
I chose this course since it was my first time out in a couple of months and it was a ,good warm-up and easy to walk. And the price was good. It was a very easy & safe process to check in and play. I like the 2 person limit per group and made for a quicker round, The greens were nice, but there was some areas that needed tending to (expected since course closed for almost 2 months). I would have rated higher, but holes 10-12 (probably several of the best holes) were closed. But, I would definitely recommend!
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the teams in charge so they can work to make changes. Thanks for visiting Boulder Creek Golf & Country Club. We hope to see you again in the future.
Pro shop guys is a Dick
Good local course. Holes 10-12 closed. Pro shop main guy is a total jerk and should not work in that area of the course. Marshals were great. Don’t know if the pro shop guy is the owner but regardless he should not be the first face you see. He is an absolute jerk. (I’m using this language b/c GN wouldn’t let me post otherwise:

Poor green. Unfriendly front desk staff
Guy at the front checking players in is a dick. Unfriendly and obviously doesn’t like his job. Outside of that for a hot deal price only it’s worth playing. Course bridge at the 10th hood has been under construction for a long time. No fix in sight.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give Boulder Creek Golf & Country Club another try in the near future.
Stay away from BC at least till summer
I called a day before to make tee time. No answer, but left message on tee time requested and even though they said they'd call to confirm, they never did. Nevertheless, time was reserved. After many weeks of no rain, course was not winter-muddy as you will usually find in winter months, but it was either too dry in spots, or too wet in others. Not well-maintained. We played a lot over the last spring/summer/fall months, and it was in decent shape, good enough for the fee that we pay. Not worth the drive there now. Hopefully, it will play better during the summer months, but I'd stay away for now. And, of course, the mess around the bridge closure between 10 and 11 that changes Hole 12 shows no sign of being repaired. Shoddy operation.

Great course just watch out for them trees.
First off getting to the course is a true fun drive coming from the Bay Area. The course is well maintained and the views are wonderful. Fun time avoiding all the trees but this helps keep my game straight.
The drinks are great as well.
