A gem in Cathedral City
First visit to Cimarron and really enjoyed the course. I enjoyed it so much I made 2 more tee times for the next 2 weeks
Love this course!
Always love playing here. Course is well maintained for the price. Was pretty backed up first hole due to Boulder being closed so it was already expected but ended up spreading out by like the 3rd or 4th hole. Played a couple weeks before and no one in front of us or behind us it was nice.
Good course for newbies ( and I enjoyed it too).
I chose this course today because a lot of courses are closed for overseeing, and I figured for $20, why not hit some iron shots and play a fast 18. There are 17 pars 3s and 1 short par 4. Holes are pretty straight forward. No bunkers or hazards protecting the greens to speak of. Some of the greens are elevated and can leave some challenging chip shots if you miss on the wrong side. The course condition is what is to be expected this time of year. The pebble course I Played is scheduled for overseeing in the next 2 weeks. So, I knew what to expect. No complaints here. Some greens were baked out hard. But hey. Play the conditions and be happy. I made a few puts. Missed a few. Just like I would on perfect greens.
This is a course I would recommend especially to new players as it can build up the short game shots ( except no bunker play).
I played as a single sandwiched around some 2s and 3s. Pace of play was just right.
Would have been a lovely day if I hadn’t thrown my back out..
should have booked earlier in the morning, also. Got a little to hot, to play. My mistake..
Just a few courses open because of over seeding. Katy does an excellent job!
Nice for practicing short game..
There are no restrooms on the course. You have to go all the way back to clubhouse and since it’s a par 3 course there isn’t time to do that without missing a couple of holes.
Nice Day for Golf
The course is in good shape. We play here almost every week and the course is in better shape each week. The only issue we encountered was a very slow three some ahead of us. They appeared to be older gentlemen who occasionally took extra shots off the tee, spent time looking for balls in the vegetation and were slow to get off the green. In addition, one of the group continuously parked his cart on the fairway and walked to the green so we couldn’t even tee off. I’m not a long hitter and could have certainly teed off with them on the green. But, the cart was right in my way!! This is a short course and we can generally play 18 in 2 hours. Today it took almost 2 hours and 45 minutes. We really like this course and the value for 18 holes is really good compared to other courses in the area. We will return.
Was very impressed with the facility, staff was helpful, course layout was fun. Carts have gps, ice chest with ice. Pace of play was great. Highly recommend you give this course a try!
Good course for fast play
Course conditions were average. There were five greens that were burned out. Play was fast. Clubhouse was closed due to covid-19. Had a great time playing
Full of character
Drove & flew by this course many times. Finally decided to try and boy am I glad I did! Greens were in great shape. This is a fun course with a lot of character.
