Nice course
I moved to Calaveras county in 2022. My first time playing this course. There were not many golfers playing, I only had to wait for the 5some in front of me that were slow 20 something year olds. Good thing their group only played the front nine holes. The course layout is a bit confusing on some of the tee box holes. The greens/fairways were in great shape. I will play this course again. Also you can do a stay and play package at this course.
beautiful course
a bit of a drive to have to wait on such slow members playing early in the middle of the week. but other then pace of play great course. 5.5 hours to finish a round. basically 3-5 min wait per shot unless on the green of course.
Course Was Great Except for Bunkers, Which Were Mostly Mud/Dirt
Course was in great shape except for bunkers (as noted above). Very challenging, look forward to playing again
Beautifully maintained
Great conditions for a well maintained & challenging golf course!
The Conditions Were Excellent
Greenhorn Creek has always been a gem. For the average player, it can be trying, but it is still an absolute joy to play. I found the conditions to be excellent. A little wet in spots on the fairways, but overall, it was terrific. The greens are fast and true. Most courses in this area have trouble with their bunkers. Not Greenhorn. I found the bunkers to be in great condition and the sand/dirt to be consistent. That's all you can ask. Unlike some courses in the area, I am happy to see that Greenhorn is offering terrific specials where the non-member can enjoy a day on a quality course without having to sacrifice and arm and a leg. All and all, it was a wonderful day and I can't wait to return.
Pace
Extremely slow, waiting on every shot. Golfers in general need to be aware of what is going on. Pace of play was slow everywhere, why hit the ball while the group in front is hitting a shot. You are going to still wait the same amount of time.
Great overall course. Not too challenging, not too easy. Will go again
Course condition
Loved the course except the sand traps which had no sand and mostly mud. Will not return without checking on their condition….
