Absolutely great course.
I had a great time from the second I arrived. Great and friendly and helpful staff. The course was in excellent condition. The greens ran true and the fairways were great. You can't go wrong playing here.

The course was in absolute immaculate shape!
Staff was fantastic.
I highly recommend this track to anyone who plays the game. Challenging but fair.
Give it a go!
great place to play
The course seems to have weathered our nasty winter well. Lots of maintenance going on, but never got in the way of play.
Awesome track!
Fairways and greens are in as good of shape as any course Public or private in the area. Staff is full of awesome people. Highly recommend
Excellent condition. Incredibly friendly staff, Will was incredibly helpful and nice.
Almost all good exept for the drinks on the course, ridicule Lessly expensive
fairways are pristine and rough is Ruff
First time playing Del Monte in 30 yrs. The course is in amazing shape! Greens were firm and true. Rough was … well Ruff!!! Great course layout that truly challenges your position play and distance control. The bar & grill had great Smash Burgers! My buddy and I talked about coming back for sure! Thanks Del Monte staff and course maintenance team. A real pleasure to play your course!
Not worth the money
Found a hot deal on Golf Now, not so hot, did not include cart so that was an additional $50.00!! Greens were punched, and the fairways were being done WHILE we were playing. Maintenance staff was mowing everywhere and was not courteous to players, even running over our golf balls. The only bright spot was Anita the cart lady.,everything was very expensive and Course was not worth the money! Find another course to play.
Wife & I played together (our first time playing this course). We were paired with another twosome. Greens were in good condition, considering they had been recently punched and sanded--they played fair, though a bit slower than expected. They did play firm (barely left a divot when sticking the green with wedge shots). The rough and OB are mowed down, finding miss hit balls wasn't a problem, and I liked that considering we were walking and could walk straight to the fairways without having to meander around the cart paths. Easy to walk course (it was built before cars were invented). Would recommend to golfers of all levels. The greens are on the smaller side, and some are well protected. Accuracy on approach shots is important. Don't forget to look around as there are some nice scenic spots along the course. Loved seeing the ocean in the background and we watched a turkey feeding along a tee box on the back 9. Not a bucket list course, but definitely a great course for the price, and the best value for the area. Only drawback--no driving range to warm up on. Excellent chipping/putting practice area.
Beautiful Day in Monterey
The fairways were soft and without any roll, from all the rain it received on Sunday. The greens were still a bit bumpy and full of sand from being punched two weeks ago. I think in two or three weeks they are going to be really good. I love the course and can’t wait to get back and play it again.
Sneaky Hard Course
I had done some research on the course before going. Host of big time amateur events I knew it would be challenging. Tee boxes are manicured to another level. Speaking of which when you’re looking out of the tee boxes down the fairway it looks WIDE open, don’t be fooled! Some spots are pretty tight and you’ll need to make sure of your yardage. They say you “play your game” but here you need to make sure you play the course’s “game”.
Staff is step above. My starter was Jose, he went above and beyond what you think you could get as far as “course knowledge”. The rest of the staff as well were what other places should strive for.
There are two Monterey’s. The first can be overcast/foggy with a slight offshore breeze that feels like winter. The second can be a sunny high 60’s to low 70’s where I challenge anyone to find a better spot in the world. I was lucky enough to get the second Monterey.
Overall the experience was phenomenal. I plan on getting a local membership so I can hone my game at one of the best courses in the state.
