The Ranch at Laguna Beach

The day before Thanksgiving the play was always going to be relaxed - it’s usually pretty slow behind all the beginners here. But good company made it fun. Play 2-3 balls during all the spare time you’ll have - and you’ll still be playing fast!! Some good challenges await you, however.

Its just not fair to have to follow two non-golfers topping and shanking 50-yds each hit - all the way round. Some discrimination against total duffers is needed - like a handicap level!!

This course was in decent shape; the greens were great. The layout is not easy; challenging holes require targeted shots. Hence, the 9 holes on a 2200 yd layout took 2 hours. We then replayed the 9 holes for only $25. (late afternoon).

It was green but the greens were recently punched, I know it will be a 5star when they recover

Enjoyable and challenging. Greens in generally rough condition post-spiking, but the rest ok, except no nets or other warm-up area!! Tiny little flat putting green for practice. Enjoyable meeting Kelly, Lynn and Clark. We had fun. I will return here.

It is always a pleasure playing at Ben Brown. It is better to play early then lat but the pricing for twilight is great! The only downfall is if there are groups playing late it slows down the pace. The staff is amazing and the upkeep of the greens are wonderful. I love the wildlife

We just had another nice round, Lovely experience here always!

I'll never tell anyone about this course, it's a hidden gem that I want to keep to myself!

I played here a few weeks ago and left my 60 degree wedge here, I called to confirm they had it and to mark it so I could come back to get it in a few weeks(I drove in for a day trip and played here from a few hours away) I explained I wouldn’t be able to come for a few weeks due to distance and other priorities lined up the next few weekends.

I called back today to confirm it was ready for pick up before leaving on the drive and they “can not find it”. They wished me luck in my journey to find the missing club they confirmed they had and stole from me. Still trying to get a hold of the manager and not going smoothly at all.

Employees clearly thought it was there long enough for them to take it home for themselves. And, by the sound of the guy on the phone it seemed to not be any surprise. No class, no care for the customer, and won’t be coming back here that’s for sure.
