this course needs marshals!
I have played this course many times, we own at the resort and we spend two weeks a year here in March and May. The nice afternoon weather brings out a crowd of people to enjoy the course -- enjoy meaning yack, take pictures, take ten strokes to hit the green followed by eight putts -- each of which has to be lined up first and generally keep ten or more parties waiting behind them: you know who you are. There is no reason his course at 400 yards needs to be played in five hours. Watching them makes me tired and they won't let people through either. The course needs someone to get them moving, but that's probably not going to happen. All that aside its a nice course -- just get out early as a twosome and you can play it in 2 1/2 hours, take a few extra putts and still really enjoy yourself.
Aerating greens
The course is an excellent executive course layout the recent rains in San Diego has the course in great shape. The annual green aeration is happening on most JC Player courses in the area right now.
Overall great value and very nice executive course.
Great snack bar and service by the staff very reasonable prices on concessions.
What a jewel!!!
Our first time and won't be the last. Short course, well maintained, beautiful scenery, nothing bad to say about this course. We had a great time, perfect way to improve your short game!!
.
Disappointed in course condition of fairways, greens good but always on a hill.
Last time I will play there, there are other courses with better conditions for money I paid.
FUN TIME
We played after over a week of rain - The course had drained amazingly well. Greens were GREAT - This course is a very fun layout - great to work on your irons, and rescue clubs. There were very few people playing as everyone was thinking it would be too wet - NOT THE CASE - We had a very fun morning - it took a little less than 3 hrs to play 18 holes....
GN
The tee times changed when we got to the course we had to wait 35 minutes. Barely had time for the last hole.
This course is relax
The view is awesome. The greens are so are kept up so nice. Really enjoy playing this course.
Green, friendly, fun
A fun executive course with a bit of water, rocks and trees to make it interesting. Inviting resort feel and all the amenities. It' was a hot day but there was enough breeze to make it bearable. Our new favorite course!!
Nice course
Nice course on good condition. I forgot my putter at home but the staff was quick to get one for me use for the round.
Great for high handicappers
Went out with 22 year old son; both of us high handicappers. Course had relatively fast greens today, and overall despite heat most of the course in very good shape. Pace was fantastic, and Tom the starter did a nice job putting out smaller parties earlier.
3 par course
I have golfed there more than 100 days. When we golfed, we discovered that SDGE was working on the electric lines. We were fearful of hitting the guys working, so we didn't get to play on 3 holes. The thing that bothered me the most was when we got to our second shot. My friend was waiting to hit because a man was mowing at the hole. I know that he saw us, but he continued to mow and went around another time while she was waiting to hit. I told her I thought he was very rude. She said if we were a man or if her husband was there he wouldn't have done that. There were 3 mowers going around so it was very noisy. When we were finished we told the starter about SDGE and he apologized. He was supposed to tell us beforehand. He was very kind, so we didn't go in and complain. I have golfed there so many times and this was by far my worst experience. I won't be going back any time soon.
Great Course for kids
Took my little brother here for his 14th birthday and first time golfing. We had a great time, but the course was extremely small and easy. I never used anything but my pitching wedge and he never went higher than a 9 iron. Great course for perfecting short game and great beginner course for kids to build confidence.
short but fun
It's all good. Very friendly staff. The course is in excellent shape. We had fun. We will be back.
Senior Golf
A very good course for seniors.
Great if you're staying there!
Resort 18 hole short course. Easy to get tee time. Can easily play early or late golf fast. A great follow-up round after playing
the on- site short par 3, 18 hole Oaks course. Great for 10 yrs+ Jr. golfers.

Excellent . Friendly staff and fast pace.
Fun course to play
Although this course is enjoyable, and challenging, there are better deals out there for other courses. The pace of play was extremely slow, being held up by a group who really didn't know how to golf. The staff refused to address it, by suggesting that the three groups that had backed up as a result, be allowed to play through. When we mentioned our frustration to the Club House when done, they didn't seem to think it was a problem.
Love this course
Course is awesome and has some really nice holes. Love the 9th hole off the tips. Such a challenging decision but well worth the reward of hitting the right club to lay up in the right location, whether you go as far close to the car path or if you enjoy going right over the water, its such a great view from up top and hitting over the water.
Killer value
I've been playing this course for a decade. They are my go to if I want a quick round. It usually plays 62. It's an amazing value and the holes while not terribly challenging are genuinely fun. Rolling hills provide a dynamic experience that never leaves me feeling like I played a short course. Give it a go and you will definitely add it to your regular rotation.
Good sunny location.
Met some new friends at the course to play an afternoon round. Enjoyed the variety of terrains on the course. Just enough challenge to make me want to come back.
