Not very good condition
Great views, challenging for a short course, but not in very good condition at this time!
Wet course
Was nice to get a reply. It wasn't what I was looking for. Yes I paid for a round, but the conditions were not how we like to play. The bottom line you can't really help so I guess I'll have to just eat the loss of what I paid or hopefully maybe the course will keep me in mind and let me play another day when the weather is better for older folks. Someone has the money, I hope they enjoy it. I do enjoy the use of Golf Now to get a lower rate than paying at the course. I have noticed that you have a "New" way to charge to have a tee time. It used to be the $4.98 to book and pay at the course, but now is seems you/I pay the whole thing to you. I had paid the $4.98 and got to the conditions were the same and I eat the $.4.98. That was OK, but $58.98 is not something to give up. Thank you.
Beautiful day on a beautiful course
Loved this course, well maintained, green, great condition, friendly staff, perfect day!
Golf at Welk Resort
Fairways were in fairly good condition but the greens were excellent. Pace of play, even as a single was very good, only waited on the twosome in front of me a couple of times throughout the round.
Mr Macdonald
I normaly play on longer courses with par 5 holes so this was different but it Was a great course would recomend it to friends and defenatly play here again.
Very Disappointed
Worst golf experience in over 50 years of golf. We had a 3:30 tee time and did not tee off until 4:15. When we checked in the pro shop said nothing about the course being over-crowded with junior golfers and their parents. We waited on every tee box. After the 8th hole a young "players assistant" came up to us and said we would have to pick up the pace. We left the course right then.
Wunnerful! Wunnerful! Welk!
Had a nice holiday round at Welk. I don't usually play on weekends or holidays but I got the same weekday hot deal rate so it worked out great. Pace of play was pretty good for a holiday and I finished in about 3 1/2 hours. The course was in good shape but the greens were very slow for my standards and I'm not a fast green guy. The staff was very friendly and they let me tee off well before my starting time which is always appreciated.
The best maintained course in Escondido
Highly recommended to anyone who would like to use every club in their bag. A challenge for low handicappers.
Summer
Good times, skipped a hole due to slow non golfers. But play was fast and fun.
Sharpen Your Short Game
This was a great course to sharpen your short game. It allowed you do make different decisions when choosing clubs. Also, was great if you wanted to get a round of golf in but did not want to play a 5 hour round at some of the more crowded courses. The greens were in excellent condition and putting was real fun.
Good value for your money
Excellent course for an intermediate palyers. Price is reasonable.
Nice resort
Good place to practice your approach shots ranging 80-120yds. Also practice your short game, chipping, pitching, lobing and putting. Greens were in good condition. Just a little downside where on about 3 holes the power line gets in the line of flight of your tee shot
great deal
Fun course, no waiting after 3rd hole three ladies said to go ahead, no one ahead. played 18 holes in 2 1/2 hours. Course in excellent condtion. Discount price a real bargin.
Great challenge for a beginner
I am a beginner golfer. I have played this course twice and will continue to play here to become a better golfer. I like that it is challenging with lakes, sand traps, trees and some large rocks to maneuver around. Very good for the $$
Nice value
Course played nice. Played with s newer golfer and played without crazy problems. Greens nice and pace was fast.
Good to practice up on your short game
The Course is always well maintained and in very good condition. It is basically a drive chip and put course so if you are looking for something longer this course this is not for you.
Amazing
Great executive course it has it all. I highly recommend it!
Groundskeepers
they bothered us two holes as they were conversing and laughing at length. They saw us but made no attempt to hold it down. This was near the green and next tee box. Two holes prior there was a worker sitting under a tree having a lengthy phone call and the laughing etc. It kept going on. It's too bad.
Love this course
Beautiful place to play. About 3 hours for 18 holes. Feels like you're on vacation. Well worth the drive.
Greens
This was a lovely course. San Diego, weather was gorgeous. Would have been excellent day except the fact that the greens had just been irrigated! Not one green wasn't cover in sand and holes. Putting was a nightmare!! Also, parts of three bunkers were underwater.
.Which they would make golfers aware of this (Greens) before you book a tee time...
