Lone Tree
Would be nice to have the practice green finished.
Great Course
The greens are amazing for Feb. The course is in mid season form. No 12 is a tricked up hole. It is beyond unfair. It is a very big black mark on an otherwise great golf course. I know of two people who won't play there because of the set up on this hole.
Don't let the proshop staff push you away. Course is phenomenal!
The course is one of my favorite and in always spectacular shape. Restaurant staff is exceptional as is the food/setting. The proshop staff needs work as they're attitude is extremely entitled. They were also was squeezing foursomes tee times out between folks that we're making the turn, in attempts to make more immediate money on tee times. This caused an epic round, to turn into a plus 5hr round. Example: we played the front in just over 2hrs and the back was over 3hr's. At least the course and weather was beautiful. I would golf this course 10-12 times a season if it wasn't for the proshop staff.
Great course with great views
Course was in great shape considering the time of year. Only negative thing about the round was they didn't have a beverage cart, got pretty thirsty during the round.
Fantastic!!!
Wow, this was a great experience. To start with, this course does in fact have a dress code and unlike many others, they DO enforce it. They also worked with us on it. They were very friendly and helpful! Best "Starter" I have ever dealt with. Course is beautiful, not "long" but quite challenging. In great shape. Pace of play was outstanding! Have wanted to play this course for a long time, and not dissappointed a bit with my experience. Can't wait to play it again!
Great Shape
Course is always in great shape. Hole # 12 needs a higher grass in front of the green, as any ball a foot short of the green rolls back into the water as the bank is shaved short.
Pretty good course
Thought that this was a private course for the longest time glad I got to play it
Public Country club
Expensive compared to Other courses in the area.
Course is in very nice conditions
Great Course
Course was in great condition, probably better than Cherry Hills was in for the BMW last weekend. Great staff and facilites. Finished my round in under 4 hours, but I did play during the Broncos game. Will definitely be back.
Great course in Denver
This is by far one of the best golf courses in the Denver area. The golf staff was amazing. Nathaniel in the golf shop was very helpful and even gave me a few tips before my round. Pace of play was as expected. The golf course itself is what puts it over the top; conditions and layout were immaculate. The cost was as expected after being told it was a parks and rec course (All those complaining about the price DO YOUR RESEARCH).
Very nice course - if you can get a good deal.
I really like Lone Tree. It's a challenging golf course, and really pretty. This time, although not always, the sand traps were concrete. (Probably due to all the rain we've had.) Although I gave a low rating for pace of play, the slow round was entirely due to one of the guys we were playing with which, I think, is even more frustrating than when it's the foursome in front of you. A ranger did tell us to pick up the pace, which I consider an indication of a good golf course.
It's expensive, though. Look for coupons and/or GolfNow Hot Deals.
great round of golf
course was in great condition. got a smoking hot deal through golfnow.com.
lone tree has a great kitchen. grabbed lunch before the round.
watch the greens fast and undulating.
Excellent Course
One of my favorite courses. Challenging, but very enjoyable. We did have a slow foursome in front of us, but we still had a good time.
Tight, Fast and Fun
GN deal. I'm a big fan of courses that have outside speakers playing classic rock at a low level around the pro shop and range. I find it relaxing and inviting. Starter was a hoot and really nice. Pair in the pro shop were friendly as well.
Buddy and I were paired with two older gentlemen who lived on the course and were incredibly nice. They showed us the way around. Could've played faster as groups were spaced well, but one of our guys injured their backs. May go back, but kind of a haul from where I live.
WAS IN GREAT SHAPE. Not a very long track from the blues. Stay below the hole! Greens rolled true but were very hard. Bogeyed last two for an 80.
Very slow pace of play
Had to quit after number 12. We were already at 3 hours and 20 minutes. No rangers or marshals to move play along. Mentioned it to a staff member and got a sympathetic but no real action was taken.
I loved this course!!
I was visiting from Fort Lauderdale and chose to play here cause locals told me it it was very nice but more expensive than some others near by. I'm so glad I did. The course is amazing. A nice tough track that's not overly difficult.
I'm used to flat courses in south Florida and this was the total opposite, which is what I wanted. I was so blown Away by the course and views and elevation!! The course is in perfect shape. Greens were very fast, I had 35 putts!!, but rolled very true. Lots of movement in a lot of the greens.
I would def recommend playing here. It is worth the money. Prob one of my favorite course I've played!!
Interesting Arnold Palmer design
Course condition for amount of play course receives was quite good. Greens relatively fast, rough lush, fairways good. Greens show that players not interested in repairing ball marks!
Overall good experience albeit bad weather for last of front nine and much if back nine holes.
Great Course - Friendly Staff
Always have a great experience at this course! The staff is efficient and attentive and the course is always in impeccable shape. The maintenance crew works very hard to maintain it. Also the Food & Beverage staff is friendly and they work to get your food to you promptly.
Tricky greens
Though the course was in very good condition, I found that many of the pin placements were bordering on ridiculous. It truly makes no sense to place a pin on a slope that if you putt uphill and even pass the hole it rolls back down to you. That is not golf nor a fair test of skill. Even pros would complain about such pin placements.
The greens are fast but seemed to roll pretty true. The fairways were in good shape but the bunkers had sand that was more like gravel than fine grain sand.
Great course!
Not very long, the course demanded good course management. The greens were tricky but overall happy with the outing. Will come back again.
