Great course, windy day
Great course, windy day
We played the black bear and the grizzly. For February golf, the course was in great condition. It seems that the greens were aerated not so long ago, but they were in great shape, still very true. Sand was fluffy despite recent rains. The wind was very strong on the day that we played.
The pace of play was good. We finished the round in just over 3 1/2 hours, which is excellent
Good value in the winter months
Really enjoyed playing Black Bear and Grizzly. Pretty easy course, especially since it’s under repair in the winter and we played from the white tees. Good value for the money in the winter while the summer is a little bit steep. Not many areas to get in trouble along the fairway, but the greens make up for it with major undulation. I would definitely recommend this course to my friends and will come back myself!
Soggy wet course
Still can’t complain 60 degrees in January to play. Slow due to cart path only and the wetness of the course.
Great hole layout
Played grizzly and Kodiak. Was windy but the conditions of the course was Aplus. Played this off season. The staff was amazingly friendly.
Excellent condition
for a course that reportedly gets 50k rounds a year (!) it was in excellent condition.
Fun course, kept in great shape!
Played BB/Kodiak and had an amazing time. Despite rain, course opened timely and was first out with one solo. Rain stopped and carts were still allowed on course (many would have made cart path only). Conditions were impeccable and the layout was fun and not overly challenging. We were going to come up behind a few people on Grizzly due to our speed and the starter switched us to Kodiak as first ones out there too. All employees were super nice and helpful!
Staff Friendliness
I couldn’t be any more pleased with the staff and how nice they were. As a single golfer, I never expect to be given priority nor different treatment than a 2,3 of 4 some. The staff offered to pair me up with other groups. They went as far as asking a large golf trip group if it was ok that I joined one of their groups of 3. The snack shop gal was phenomenal! I would come back here if I ever found myself in the area!
Great staff…slow play, but fun layout.
Super friendly staff. Nice practice facilities. March golf, so course wasn’t 100%. Still, nice layout and risk reward on many homes. Would recommend.
plenty to come back for
The course is well maintained in winter and I look forward to playing this mix of elevation, water and sand again in-season
