Wonderful Course
We played this course on a day with a slight drizzle and it was cart path only. We were able to finish in 3 hours. The course itself is so beautiful, hilly, and surrounded by trees. Staff in the pro shop was very friendly.
Good conditions
Course was in good shape. And I got an excellent Hot Deal!
Congratulations to the green keepers. Thanks.
Nearby...but feels secluded
Nicely tucked in behind Hilton convention center in Marietta. Didn't know about this place and played for the first time on a perfect Fall day. Impressed by the clean tee boxes, greens and fairways even with the changing season (leaves/dormant grass). Beautiful views of Kennesaw Mountain in the distance.
Insane pace of play issues.
I’ve played this course multiple times due to its location to me and the course quality. Layout is nice, and other than some beat up tee boxes, it’s a great course. While they’ve tried implementing new time technology in their carts letting players know how behind they are with the 4 hour and 15 minute timeline, it just doesn’t work. I’m all for beginners getting outside and playing but they’re not playing from tee boxes that match their handicap. You will undoubtedly end up spending 5 hours or more on this course. I haven’t been below five hours the last two years I’ve been playing this course. If waiting 5 minutes in between each shot means more time away from your reality, this course is great. If you have things that need to be done afterwards, avoid this place.
Nice round
Greens were fast. It was a beautiful day to play. Had fun.
The course was in good shape and greens were nice. Pace of play was almost 5 hours and there was no marshal to keep pace on a Saturday
Great course best value
Great overall course conditions every time I’ve played here. Hope 4 has some fairway issues due to the downslope and drainage but still plenty of good turf. Greens are always in great condition and always fast with plenty of breaks. Probably the best value course within 30 miles of the city.
Great course
This is a great course in the local area. The only thing they need is a starter or to spread out the tee time 2 or 3 more minutes. Pace of play is always bad here and always gets backed up
Not worth the cost
Played 9 (under 3000 yards) holes in 2.5 hours. Called the pro shop to let them know about the backup around hole 4, they said they’d send someone out. Never happened. Decided to pick up the bags and head home at the turn. One of the staff asked about the round so I told him it was terrible because of the pace. He retorted with a snide attitude that it’s a public course and I should go private. Yeah bud, it is public, but that doesn’t mean it has to be poorly managed. The staff clearly doesn’t care about the game of golf but about putting as many golfers on the course as they can, pace be damned. Do better.
Tips:
Play in the winter and get wary tee times so you don’t have to wait for 10 minutes between green and tee box.
Good course, horrible pin placements.
Good conditions besides the bunkers and average pace of play for a Saturday. The major issue was the greens. They're the fastest greens in the area along with unfair pin placements. They have a tournament in 2 or so weeks so they were placing the pins on the sides of hills to save the good (fair) pin locations.
There were some pins where even putting from below the hole they would roll back 15+ ft from the hole, and if you were ever above the hole it's impossible to stop it from rolling 30ft+. Joke pin placements for these conditions.
Great course, good value but very slow pace
I play here about once a week. But they really pack them in. So pace of play is always 4.5 hrs long. No ranger to move anyone along. Other then that the course is always in great condition. This was easily the hottest day of the year. Sure would be nice to bring back the water stations.
Good Conditions
Played in the middle of a hot August afternoon, the course is in great condition. Fairways are good and green ( very few bare sports) and the greens are rolling great~!!!
Pace of play
No one monitoring pace of play. Five some played slow.
